Hello SmokieDragon, I have 2 alhambra watches. I like them because they are jewelry timepieces that can be worn when I dress up or down. They give off a different aura from my other automatic watches. I find them youthful, fun and elegant-looking. Here is a photo of my turquoise alhambra watch. I don’t have issue in looking at the time on the alhambra watches. I normally can tell the time by the appropriate positions of the hands on the dial face, whether the watches have markers or not.

Hope you will get yours soon. :flowers:

I tried on this watch in the boutique which I’ve loved since I saw it online. https://www.vancleefarpels.com/en/c...atches/vcaro8wt00---sweet-alhambra-watch.html

Does anyone own this watch or any Alhambra watch? How do you find it?

Or has anyone come close to pulling the trigger but decided not to? What were your reasons?

Before seeing this watch IRL, I thought it would be hard to read the time. But I found it very easy to read when I tried it on. However, I have to be realistic too as I’m in my mid-40s and sooner or later, I may struggle to tell the time with this watch, I think…

Thanks in advance and interested to hear your views.

It looks great on you! The time isn't hard to read at all. I have it in TQ and I LOVE it! I wear it dressed up or down. It's very versatile and it comes with 2 band colors that make it fun to coordinate with outfits. The time is set by a button on the back of the watch that you hold down and let go when you reach the correct time. The only con (very minor) I have is that rarely, I find that I may press it inadvertently when doing something and it may move the time a few minutes ahead. The band is thicker and stiffer next to the dial, I believe, to help avoid that from happening. I am also considering getting it in Lapis. You'll love it!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! On the whole, I find the strap very stiff so hope that won’t happen to me! Lapis sounds great too!

The watch is now on hold for me. I found myself at the mall earlier today and decided to try on the watch again. However, my SA was really busy and I also told her I needed to think a little more about it. Hence, she suggested putting it on reserve while I get to being 100% sure! Now the question in my head is what colour should my second strap be?

Ooh exciting! What color choices are there?

Here are the strap colours. The watch comes with a navy strap so that leaves 6 colour possibilities for the 2nd strap.

The SA said not to take the lighter blue and black. Then we agreed white will become cream one day. So that leaves the dark red, red and pink. The SA is recommending the red

Your watch is so beautiful! I am also thinking about getting the same watch. Do you wear it everyday? I am worried about damaging them too much since I can be pretty rough with my hand movements.

I think it looks beautiful on you. I just got mine a couple of months ago and I love it! I was hesitant to get a quartz as well as all of my other watches are automatic. The battery needs replacing every 3 or so years (there is a sticker at the back that tells you when to replace) and with lifetime complementary, so all good for me. My eyesight is also pretty poor and it took time to adjust to telling time
Let us know which one you ended up getting!
