Well, after over a month of patiently waiting, I found out today that UPS has LOST, yes LOST, my made to order Rogue!
I came home Monday evening to a note on my door from UPS stating they had tried to deliver a package that needed a signature but no one was home. I was a little confused at first because I was not expecting anything that day and had not received any notice from Coach that my bag was coming. As a matter of fact, when I ordered it the SA stated that there was an expected delivery date of August 21st. So anyway, I put the tracking number in online and saw that it was sent from Coach. The UPS note said they'd try again the next day, so I waited at home all day Tuesday but nothing arrived. No UPS truck coming down my street, nothing. At the end of the day I called UPS and they told me it was going to be delivered Wednesday. I waited all morning today and the UPS truck did show up but with a package for my husband. I asked the driver about the attempted package delivery on Monday but he said he didn't work that day so he didn't know anything about it. I then call UPS again and this time the person on the line couldn't find any current status for the package. She contacted the local UPS hub and gave them my contact info. I received a call from them and they basically told me that they don't know what happened to it after it the attempt to deliver it Monday. They told me to call the sender and have them report it to UPS. I worked with Jay from South Coast Plaza when I ordered it. He wasn't in today but the other SA I spoke to was very helpful and he was going to report it to UPS.
I'm so upset right now, I'm not sure why I wasn't sent an email from Coach to let me know that it was on its way. If I would have known I would have stayed home that day and this would have all been avoided. I'm just imagining my poor bag somewhere on the side of the road all beat up in its box, or in the hands of some dishonest employee that doesn't realize how special it is [emoji22]
Oh no! UPS has to find it, there's no other option!! They just need to open their eyes at the dispatch location the truck from Monday went and get their butts in gear and look until they find it!!

I know! I'm hoping they did that right after they called me and will continue to. I wonder the amount of time they will search until they finally claim it as lost?

Oh, no! I'm so sorry! Do you have any UPS Store locations near you? I've received packages from UPS for years, and never, until recently, had several packages that after they couldn't be deliverered on the first attempt, were sent for pickup at the local UPS Store. They usually leave a door tag, and the tracking will update to let you know when they've deliverered it to the store, and that it's ready for pick up. Maybe they sent it to a UPS Store for pickup but something didn't get scanned? I hope they're able to find your Rogue!

Gosh I hope so!

I didn't think of that. There is a store pretty close to me. I will call them tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

I am sorry you're being put through this stress!

I believe that UPS dropped the ball here and for whatever reason, they got careless. From personal experience, whenever UPS or FED EX, etc. messes up, it's almost always because the regular route person was out on vacation or had a sick day. Those temporary substitutes are often not given enough instructions or tips on what might be necessary to successfully deliver in your particular area. Or worse yet, if it's someone's first day or two on the job, they're bound to make errors.

I am in no way excusing anything they did wrong. But the Good News (?) is that I am confident that Coach will make it right. You've already spoken with your SA's coworker who told you that your SA will contact UPS. It is totally Coach's responsibility to ensure that you get your package. On top of that, Coach was careless in not updating your package's ETA, which your SA will take into account.

As aggravating as this must be for you, Coach WILL take this matter into their own hands, as UPS has to answer to Coach -- who is their client -- and a valued one, at that! Hopefully this will all be just a simple SNAFU that will end up with your 'poor bag' having been driven around needlessly without being discovered by the right employee.

If you were dealing with some fly-by-night company that you'd never heard of before, I would be worried. (Not that you'd order from a shady company in the first place).

Be sure to keep us updated -- you have nothing to worry about (except a little wasted time)! You've probably guessed that I've had similar PIA experiences -- not with Coach, but other big name retailers.

Good luck!

Thank you for the encouragement. I know Coach will do right by me no matter what. Although I'm still not sure why I wasn't given any shipping information when the Rogue was sent out. I've seen other TPFers on the MTO thread discussing getting their notice about their bags being shipped. So I know my case was an oversight of some sort.
Sharing this with all of you and getting some good pointers of things I hadn't thought of has given me some hope that my bag will be found and has really listed my spirits. That's what I love most about TPF, we all understand each other when it comes to our feelings about our bags [emoji8]

Something about those brighter colors! I did one that was Hay with Rouge accents. I'd like to see some different (brighter/lighter) blues and greens as options. I'd love a suede 36 in the blue they used for the orange glitter tearose Rogue. The Cornflower suede seems a little dull in the pictures they use for the mock ups (almost more grey than blue).

Blue steel is now my favorite light blue. So bright and better than cornflower and cloud.

Are the MTO Rogue made in the USA by any chance?

That's a good question. I heard that they were but I can't find anywhere on mine that says where it was made. Here is the creed:

I looked in all the pockets and the insides of the bag and can't find any kind of tags or anything to state where it was made.

I asked that question when I put my order in, and I was told since my handles are python, it would start in South Africa first. Then make it's way over to other countries (he didn't specify) then will end up in NY for custom stamping and inspection.

Interesting, so various unspecified "countries". Thanks @fayden and @Lucylu29. Wonder if it's still made in Vietnam apart from the special handles. Very good workmanship from what I can see regardless of where it's made.
