This is a great thread. Understated is my style, so I have no problem with that, but this really made me think about what I’d really want to have, and what I could let go. What I’d want is timeless, tough bags that can go from day to night. My “special occasion” bags would be first up on the chopping block.

The photos are not the colors I’d choose, but here’s my list:

Day to evening casual: The Row Hunting Bag 9

Day to evening dressy: Delvaux Tempete MM

Work to evening: Fontana Couture Mina

Day to evening large capacity (ok, evening is a stretch, but I’ve taken this bag to many casual venues, and would not give it up): Fendi Anna Selleria

Shopping my closet:
Top handle: Lady Dior, medium lambskin
Crossbody: Pochette Metis empreinte in turtledove color
Shoulder bag: Chanel medium classic flap in black lambskin
Tote: I don't use totes much. So I would chose my Delvaux Tempete instead. If I had to pick a tote, I would probably get a tote from Mulberry, which I liked (don't remember the name).
