Online Order - collect in Store

Well, it looks like LV has no idea where my bag is. I managed to get a tracking number for the order that was sent to store, since the Estimated Delivery Date passed, and my bag has been stuck in "We currently have the package. The receiver requested clearance by a non-UPS broker. / Brokerage released the package. It will be processed through a clearing agency before final release to UPS." status since May 2. :-s

Doesn't show any shipment movement whatsoever from when the label was created May 1, and three status "updates" that say UPS has the package. So they're going to investigate, but I'm pretty ticked that the one time I have it sent to store, it's taken twice as long and hasn't arrived. I know another TPFer ordered the same bag on the same day and she got hers 2 days ago.

I ordered two bags last week and had them shipped to the store for the first time. I am never home to sign for packages. if I send them to work, my co workers get nosey. Anyhow, for me it was actually anti-climactic. I went in-waited 15 mins for someone to bring them up. The SA didn't want to open them for me to check since they were 'packaged so nicely' He did after i insisted. No one offered me water or anything. I just sat there waiting. I didn't like it-felt like I had inconvenienced the staff by having to get my order. Just my opinion
Perhaps because no one gets commission for an online order? I'm not sure

I have a similar question. About online orders collected in store.

I ordered two bags online and had them sent to store because the store never has what I want. I saw no other choice but to front the money for them just so I can see and try them on in person. I’m not sure about either of them - I need to see them first to know. My question is, when I go to the store, will an SA be willing to assist me, after I “pick up” the bags? I want to try them on, and possibly exchange one for a different color. Possibly return the other one. Or I may keep both! I don’t know until I see them.

If I ask an SA to assist me while I try on/get the other color so I can compare all three bags together, is it a waste of her time because I already paid for the bags and she doesn’t get any commission?

On a different note, I’ve found that the CA’s aren’t willing to order in a bag for me to look at, unless I pay up front. And even then they can’t tell me when it will arrive. So why would I do that, if I can get it online and control when it will arrive in store? Other than wanting to give them the commission?

Basically I’ve concluded that if I want to see and try on the things I’m interested in, I have to order them online and send to store. I’m just wondering what is the etiquette for CA time in these situations.

Hey guys, the weirdest thing happened to me at LV yesterday. I’ve been going to Louis Vuitton stores in multiple states and have been a customer for years and had nothing but great experiences. Now when I arrived in store yesterday the lady gave me bad looks and was acting really odd and clearly didn’t want to help me even though I was just picking up an order. Then when I asked if they had something else she just said “no”. The worst is when she brought out the item she quickly opened it then put in back in the box fast and didn’t even offer for me to inspect it. (She also didn’t ask for my order confirmation email, ID, only my first name, so technically I could have picked anyone’s item up). I didn’t push anything though because the lady really didn’t want to deal with me and since I never had anything negative happen with LV before I had great trust. Then when I got home I opened the box and my mind was BLOWN. I got a USED item with someone’s initials SCRATCHED OUT and all bent. I called client services immediately and the sweetest associated helped me. I’m still in shock over what happened. I mean it was clearly a mistake and I don’t think it’s a reflection on the brand but only on one careless employee.

Thanks! After my CA failed to notify me of my order last time I’ve become paranoid. Emails better than text - they seem to have pulled my mobile from my in store profile which no longer receives text.
I know this was a long time ago, but did you get a shipping confirmation with a tracking number when your order shipped out to be collected in store?
