I've shared in other posts how turned off I was to Tiffany's "Not your mother's Tiffany" campaign and subsequent marketing. I was 100% a Tiffany gal/lady, my engagement rings (I have two) and wedding band are Tiffany, I shopped there in my 30s and 40s and early 50s but didn't want to support a brand that insults me. I left for Cartier and I do love my Cartier pieces! I was over sterling, too. However I peeked at Tiffany's current offerings and I placed an order! I do not have an SA there, I ordered online. I asked my husband what he thought of all this and he replied: "One should never swear off of Tiffany."

Has anyone else broken up with Tiffany and come back?

One other thing I want to add is that not once did I have any SA send me gifts. Cartier spoiled me! I wish Tiffany gave that level of attention and care.

I too was very turned off by the "Not your mother's Tiffany" campaign. (and rubbed it into their IG comment section during Mother's day haha). And also the "Tiffany Table Manners" campaign.

I still have not bought anything from Tiffany. And I'll be honest, when I see a Tiffany ad, the "Not your mother's Tiffany" and Table Manners campaigns pop into my head.
I do think if I fall in love with something I will probably end up buying it but at the moment I just don't have any interesting in any of Tiffany's jewelry at the moment. I'm also very happy with my fine jewelry collection and my want to buy jewelry has slowed down considerably.

I only went in Nov 2022 for a repair which they did beautifully (and of course, I won't judge their jewelers' skill from an ad)

My SA left Tiffany. He was my longest running SA (2 years) but I am not surprised. The Tiffany location where I go has a high turnover rate.

Though, I have a bad habit. When something really puts me off, I'll remember it for years.
For example, D&G Chinese ad in 2018, I have not forgotten and I have not even bothered to look at anything that brand sells since then. I also did not eat from a fast food restaurant for almost 10 years when the CEO made a public statement about his personal beliefs in 2012.

Thanks for sharing this!

Yes, the table manners ad really was awful, too! So off-brand and not clever at all.

Like you, I am very loyal to my personal boycotts of businesses that cross the line for me. As you pointed out, the people who work for Tiffany may also feel the same way we do and those terrible ads aren't a reflection of the people and jewelry.

I love my rings, other jewelry and the memories I have of shopping at Tiffany before their End Times for those of us who are the target of their insults, or care about them. It seems that they have backed off from the disastrous ad campaigns. Maybe they learned? I hope so!

I only have a couple of fine jewellery pieces from Tiffany - and unlike many here perhaps, am only a recent customer (2017?).

I was brought to Tiffany buy their Save the Wild Collection and was lucky enough to be able to score their largest rg Elephant (that I love and adore). I was impressed by the generous amount that went to the WWF. Then I bought some gold EP earrings

I also tried to buy some of the HardWear line (2 pieces; one gold; one silver) but the service was terrible. Due to a lack of stock, the SA wanted me to buy the ring then stretch the band. I know jewellery, I used to sell it myself. I could see full well, the round shank should not be stretched and would compromise the design if not break the ring. I chose not to buy and withdrew my order for the gold piece (I wanted to wear the pieces together).

I loved the Tiffany exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery this year, but those campaigns were such a turn-off (and I'm not a mother) as are the spiralling prices and pretence at scarcity of some pieces. There are a couple of classic pieces on my wishlist (see the EP thread) but I can also live without them if they never restock.

Here are my rings! (I don't want to post everything but will post new additions moving forward!) A Tiffany Novo Horizon diamond ring in white gold and a Legacy Collection ring in platinum with diamonds and pink sapphires--these are my engagement rings! I wanted two dainty sparkly rings instead of one with a large rock. My wedding band is also a dainty Tiffany Classic milgrain in platinum. As you can see, my taste is true to my name!

Your set is stunning

I bought Tiffany’s in the early 2000s (sterling silver heart toggle anyone? and other sterling silver pieces).

I now have a big Cartier and VCA collection although I have some Tiffany pieces in the mix. I actually just bought the pave Tiffany smile last month and got the 16 stone ring 3 years ago. For what it’s worth at least at my local boutique, the qualifity of service and luxury experience far surpasses my local VCA, where I have spent lots of $$$$ but never felt my business was valued. All of the Tiffany’s locations I have been to over the last few years have really provided exceptional service. I was really impressed.

I have to correct myself, my Novo ring is in platinum, not WG. :noworry:

This is a second, later in life marriage for me. My true soulmate. I had a traditional engagement ring (not Tiffany) for my first marriage. The second time around with my newer and much improved husband the engagement rings and ensuing wedding was all that I had ever wanted and not what I thought I should do. My hope is that for each ten year anniversary I will add to my stack.
