I think the nomad is the best value for the money -- and most classic that will last you years and years. The ace is nice too. The rip and repair is the most interesting although most trendy.

I'm afraid I disagree with the vast majority. #2 hits on two of the things I like least; hobos and orange. I personally only consider that shade of orange a fall color, so ymmv.
I like #1. I've never seen a black and white baseball. The colors go with just about everything, it's unique, and if it does turn out to be too trendy for you (and trendy isn't necessarily a bad thing, otherwise all us ladies would be covered neck to toe at all times, bagless, and illiterate), rehome it. This doesn't have to be a lifetime commitment, and someone else will appreciate it should you cease to do so.
My second choice is #3. I usually like structured bags, like satchels. I think that color is a great; it reminds me of vintage Coach pieces. So, personally, I'd get the most use out of that one.
Those are such different bags. It must be difficult to choose. Good luck with your decision!

Edit: I like the previously mentioned idea of trading in #2 & #3 for a racing green Nomad.

Edit #2: If any came with a banana fob on the chain with the hangtag, definitely keep that one.

The Nomad is butterscotch and isn't orange at all.

I'd keep Nomad and Rip and Repair. Both have a certain uniqueness to them.

Ace is nice, but Coach is constantly coming out with satchels in that general shape.

The Nomad is NOT orange, but the true color of butterscotch, a very warm color.

Yeah, butterscotch is not orange. Just saw it in person today. It's more of a movie-theater-buttery flavor, if that makes sense. Or the butter brickle chunks in Friendly's butter brickle ice cream. ;)

My zipper is smooth so hope yours is an isolated case.
I hope so! I thought I'd be really sad to return it, but in addition to the zipper issues, the opening was a little tight and stiff for me, so I'm going to be happy with just the Nomad! I have yet to find the perfect satchel - in Coach or any other brand! The one I want (Chloe Marcie) is just way too expensive for me to make myself ok buying... unless I sell every bag I own!

A lot depends on what types/colors of bags you already own and what role each bag will play in your purse wardrobe. If you already own a similar bag/color then maybe that's not the bag for you.

My personal favorite of these 3 is the butterscotch Nomad, but it's up to you!

I've only seen online stock photos of Butterscotch, which initially reminded me of the color Spice. After seeing stock photos of them side by side, I see now that there is no similarity at all. I apologize to anyone I've ofended by using the word "orange".

You didn't offend me at all. ☺ I also agree that the stock pictures show the bag as having orange tones. When I take mine out to look at it I don't see orange, but it could all be due to lighting.
