OK, this is disturbing

the disclaimer makes NO sense, if they stamp hermes paris on the bag, how can they say they are not trying to pass the fake off as a real bag and is for "entertainment purposes" only!?!?

A certain previously banned tPFer had a grudge against Vernilover. Why I don't know why. I find it very coincidental that her pics were used on this site. You know these people are really stupid and/or not serious since they are clearly stating that these are replicas yet they also state that it is a Hermes bag made in France. I think this is someones idea of a mean and malicious joke.

They are really vile. I've put the H lawyers on their trackes though.

Thanks, LittleH. I was really upset when I saw the website but didn't know how to proceed, and I figured if I posted this thread, someone on tPF would know what to do. This website goes far beyond marketing counterfeits - it's a total invasion of VL's rights and property. :nogood:

And thanks for the note, amamxr, about the fake privacy Act. I can't believe far some people will go to try and defraud others! :cursing:

I think VLs pics have been taken down now. But check out the "disclaimer" on the FAQs.

Extraordinary

The homepage pic is gone, but the White Birkin "HERMES 35CM ROSE DRAGEE SWIFT LEATHER WITH PALLADIUM HARDWARE" is still there. It's hidden in the Zoom photo thing. I have it prtscrn'ed on my post above. I'm pretty sure they have more of her pictures hidden and nestled somewhere in this site, it just takes some time to find them all.

Thank you all for bringing this to my attention! I have sent them email and will contact Hermes about the website.

I have been making my watermarks larger and larger, but I'm not sure that makes a difference if they are simply going to use my images anyways! :cursing:

Another member brought an ebay ad to my attention a few months ago. They used my images, but they blacked out my watermark (which is part of the reason why I'm making my watermarks larger and larger).

Thanks again all!

Regarding watermarks... I think even more important than size, is to put them where they are not easily covered over. This is for everyone ... don't waste your time putting your watermark over a clean area or one outside the main image ... they can so easily be cropped or covered up with the most basic photo editing programs. Here's an example.....

Note on this photo how easy it would be to just "clone" part of the leather and cover up my name.

On this one it would be very labor-intensive to remove my name and clone in the chain, stitching, etc.

I hope you get things straightened out! I guess I was right after all, they did use more of your pictures! I notice that if you go to the product listings and click on the "View Product image" link, I notice they use your pictures for modeling purposes. Sorry Verni! I hope the H police will come and take them down. Best of luck.
