I prefer the second set but only if the prongs could be less prominent

I am not sure if they can change the prongs can they? They were setting the diamond in there so I could get an idea

I prefer the first one as it showcases the diamond more, in the second one the prongs seem too big. Will you be wearing that band with whichever ring you choose?

I was curious because both settings look beautiful and prominent as is so l was wondering if you were planning to wear it as a stand alone piece. In the first one is the band princess? If yes, I would choose one with stones that match the setting side stones.

Congratulations...both are lovely!
With that being said, I like the 1st setting better. Your princess cut diamond looks better in that setting...I prefer a round cut diamond in the 2nd setting. I also think the 1st setting will stand the test of time better.

The first mounting just sings with that cut of stone.
And I just love how everyone from this forum really digs in and tells us what they really think. So very helpful when spouses/mothers/friends/salespeople sometime are less helpful and/or tell us what they think we want to hear (although well-meaning).

I like the first setting in your hand. It looks pretty I'm just a fan of raised center stones so that's why I prefer the second setting.
