I’m curious if anyone ordered from a Japan eBay seller recently? It’ll be over $800. I’ve never had to pay for customs fee before. It’s the first time I’m seeing an option to pay upfront. I don’t know if I should pay upfront or just wait and see if they charge or not charge.

I couldn’t find anything on this (or recent info at least!) but does anyone know what the import duty is on jewelry purchases if I have it shipped from Japan? Found something I’ve been looking all over for (from their secondhand market) but not sure if it’s worth it if I’m going to get hit with massive amounts of tax when they ship it over. I looked on government sites and can’t find anything either? Thank you! I wasn’t sure where else I could post this so mods please feel free to move if necessary!
Has anyone bought anything from Canada recently? I'm looking to buy a relatively expensive necklace, made in France, and the concept of the various tariffs have me in a daze trying to figure out what my duties will be. Would appreciate anyone's experience.
I'm in Canada. The de minimus is still in place for you from Canada. Not sure how the origin of the item will come into play.
Yep I think the wildcard is the origin, I’m pretty sure I would see a reciprocal % on top of standard duties. Thank you!

I am planning to purchase a chanel bag from US to canada worth 3200. I wonder how much would I pay for tariff, duties and taxes if valued as such? Is tariff a separate amount to the custom fees? So is it like I pay for duties and taxes and another fee for tariff? Thanks
