Hi,
I will be making my 1st ever designer bag purchase next week.
However, can somebody help me? Basically, I want to invest in a bag where I can sell it for the maximum return possibly next year. Out of these choices, which is the best to opt for as I like them all?

2) Christian Dior Panarea (Black or a lighter colour?)
3) Jimmy Choo Rosalie (Black or beige?)
4) Chloe Paraty Medium (Black or Flamingo?)
OR go straight for the Chanel 2.55 CC lock black caviar jumbo - gold hardware?
I have olive tanned skin and black hair (Oriental descendant)

Wow, I never knew this would be the response - That people actually don't buy bags with the thought of ever selling them, more the fact that they are luxuries.
The reason why I think of selling them is that I am still young coming out of college and in time, there may be certain circumstances arising where I may need more cash I.e. Purchasing a new home, car, paying for a wedding, luxury holiday, emergencies (medical) etc. Anything to be frank. However, it saddens me sometimes when I see people going through this on Ebay and trying desperately to sell their bag, only to find that the value has depreciated and they don't even get 1/2 the price of the amount invested into the bag back leading them to retract the bag from being sold because the price being paid is not worth it.
If going on the basis of which bag I know I would never re-sell in that list, it would be the Chanel 2.55 black caviar jumbo with gold hardware. I want a bag that can be worn all year around with any outfit and at any time of the day.
Somebody has suggested that Jimmy Choo actually do sales, so I will consider the Rosalie at another time. Does anyone know when the Jimmy Choo sales begin and how much is the mark-down are we talking about?

^^The sales are usually in late June/July and January, but the dates change sometimes. The boutique sales start at 30% then go to 50%. Saks, NM, Nordies all have good sales on Choos as well. The Rosalie has been a hot seller, tho there have been a few problems with the bag. There is a thread here where a couple of members talk about this.
I was wondering if anyone here got a chance to see Million Dollar Decorators on Bravo TV? Because they profiled Tamara Mellon on the most recent episode. She had her beautiful Jimmy Choo shoes and bags that were splashed in gold paint for the recent ad campaign boxed and set in her gorgeous 30 million dollar apartment in NYC!
