Thanks Bichon Lover & jmcadon, I'm really excited. I've always wanted a "snakeskin" or funkier bag, and this seems perfect. I wear loads of black so I have a feeling I will use it ALOT.

What do you think of the JC wallets?? I didn't see one that i loved, trying to decide on a wallet to go with this bag. My bright pink LV wallet just doesn't seem quite right with this!! I kind of like the studded Prada or miu miu with the grommets....

Thanks for the welcome!! I will post pics when she gets here!!

GORGY ring tote, melove!! Congrats!

I am not familiar with JC wallets. I like the ones with the grommets that you posted. Marc Jacobs wallets (esp. the zip clutches) are awesome - check them out too

Thanks I <3 MJ! I'm going to check out the MJ wallets as well. I'm looking for a Stam as soon as I sell off some other bags, so an MJ wallet could work for both bags maybe??

I agree, the miu miu grommet wallet does look nice next to the ring!! That wallet echoes some shapes/colors of the Ring...

The MJ wallets would def work for both bags - my purple quilted one looks as good with my Riki as it does with my MJ bags. There is so much out there to choose from - good luck!!

I had a question, could'nt find the answer to it so I thought I would post. What year did J.C. start issueing C.O.A. cards? I found this on the J.C. site
What is the Certificate of Authenticity?
We are currently testing a new security system. This security system consists of a card and a matching holospot allowing us to identify genuine products. This feature may be added to additional products in future seasons
Why I ask is I ordered a J.C. khan bag off Saks (tag still attached, etc) I do'nt think it's a fake I just wanted to know what year it came out? It does'nt have the holospot inside which leads me to believe with the info I just pasted from the site that's it very uncurrent. TIA!!

The white authenticity cards started with the pre-fall 08 bags (although not all may have it) and have carried through to the current collection.

Bags before pre-fall 08 did not have authenticity cards unless they were crocs and then you got a black card.

You will find this type of information in the Choo FAQS subforum.

Just wading in here, even though I've got the one bag :D! I bought a Ruby in Cognac a little while ago in the JC Sale, direct from the JC website in the UK. I did not have a card with it. I had a care card but not an authenticity card and no halo in the bag that I am presuming you all are talking about? Forgive me if I'm wrong.

Of course I queried it directly with them and was advised much the same as pupeluv in that they were 'testing a new security system and for some of our products in our A/W 08 collection, they were provided with authenticity cards. This feature is still under testing and so not all our products will be issued with the new security system'. Don't know if this is a specific UK thing though...

I'm going to put this into the eBay forum, but this needs widespread attention. I cannot believe they would do this. This really encourages counterfeiting and deception. I just checked my settings and opted out.:

For those of you that sell on Ebay, there is a new UNANNOUNCED policy effective 8/31/09, regarding PHOTOS. (This policy applies even if you use a 3rd party hosting service)

Ebay is developing a "catalog" of photos. The sales pitch is that the seller will have more exposure hence more sales by opting in....I telephoned Ebay today for clarification and was told the following: If your photos are "chosen" for the "catalog" YOUR photos will be available to other EBAY MEMBERS for their use....

Therefore, other sellers can use YOUR photos to sell THEIR Hermes scarves...

Your Ebay defaults are currently set to "OPT IN" to the program. You must change your setting in order to OPT OUT...

If you leave your settings as they are, you are opting in to the program and giving Ebay permission to share your photos with other users....

Warning: Ebay will be using photos without creators' permission.

Again, the default for this setting is YES, you have opted in. Meaning "Yes, I will allow eBay to make my photos available for anyone to use."

If you do not want eBay to make the photos you upload to all of your future auctions available to other users, you need to change your settings NOW, before August 31st. If you opt out after then, any photos you upload between the 31st and when you opt out will still be eligible for inclusion in their "catalog."

In order to opt out do the following:

1) Go to your eBay summary page ("My eBay").

2) On the left-hand side, there are three tabs that say "Activity," "Messages," and "Account." Hover your mouse over the "Account" tab.

3) A drop-down list will appear. Move your mouse down to "Site Preferences" and click.

4) You will be taken to a page with a list of site options for selling, shipping, and listing. Sixth from the top is "Share your Photos." Click on the word "show" on the right hand side next to this option.

5) The box will expand, and if you are opted in, "yes" will appear. If you are opted out, "no" will appear. A small "edit" link will appear below the "show" link. If you want to change the settings, click "edit."

6) You will be taken to a new page with the following text: If you'd like to opt-out of this program, please do so by checking this box and clicking the "submit" button below.

If you opt-out before August 31, 2009, none of your photos will be considered for inclusion in this program unless you opt back in at a later time.

If you opt-out after August 31, 2009, any photos we select for inclusion in this program prior to your opt-out may continue to be used in the catalog.

7) If you want to opt out of the program, check the box on the left-hand side next to the text, then go down and click the "submit" button.

8) Return back to the settings screen you were just on, and there will be a green checkmark and a confirmation message. Go down to the "Share your Photos" option again and click "show." Your setting should now appear as "no."
