Welcome to Choo, Sharkbait. The Mahala is one of my favorite Choo styles of all time. There is so much to love. The shape is great and all the pockets inside really make it work for a person. The outside zippers are a little stiff and sticky, but that should change soon since RiRi redesigned them and they work more smoothly. I never put more than a supply of kleenex in the outside zip pockets. And if the Mahala is too big, the Maddy is its little sister. Please post a picture of your bag, and you too muggles. Our reference library is itching for some more photos!

Got my red Mahala! Little disappointed, advertised as having been used 2 times! I don't think so! She is full of grease spots on the suede and the leather is very broken in! Still she is red! Wish I had an idea as to what year she was from? Have to head off to work will post a pic tomorrow! Here is the ebay thread I bought her from!

She did refund me 100. for the grease spots!

Muggles, the red Mahala was 06 (I just looked at my receipt)- they sold out quickly and didn't do that red color again. Sorry about the grease spots, but that bag is a find - very hard to come by.

^^ Saphir makes a great suede cleaner. You could try that or take it to a cobbler.

Ladies-- I have found another excellent product for our exotics. I love DYO but hate the smell. One of my colleagues in the city uses saphir after Hermes recommended it for her birkin and they make a reptan product for exotics. It can be used on croc, lizard, snake, etc. It is a creamy milk without the awful smell and it works great. Just an alternative if you dont want to dyo it.

lionlaw - Do you have any of the cleaner? If you do use it, please post a before/after thread in the FAQS/Care subforum.

The silver mahala has the new zips and is much thinner feeling in the leather? The red which is 06 os great and the turquoise mahala I just got is divine!
