What is the strap drop on the Victoria? Does the straps stay on the shoulder or tend to fall off especially when wearing a winter coat? Thanks,
I find that it is tricky to fit on the shoulder over a winter coat. I am a US size 14, and it doesn't work well on the shoulder with a coat for me. It might for someone more petite. The strap length on this bag is a little odd; I feel like they'rejust a tiny bit short for a full shoulder bag, but a tiny bit long for hand carry. It doesn't put me off the bag, though. I have it in black, and I adore it!

Hi all, hoping someone could help me, I am thinking of buying this bag, I am about 5'2", would this bag be too big on me?
Also had a question about color, would you pick a deep red color or a pink color like bois de rose. I am over 50, am I too old for these colors? Thank you.

You are never too old for color! I think red and pink make lovely pops of color for women at any age. It is a larger bag, but the proportions look good on most sizes of people.

Honestly it is a big bag. My sister is your height and tried on this bag and I remember thinking “that bag is way too big for you”. But if you like carrying a big bag, then whatever. As far as color, get what you love.

Rose sang, I am also 5’2”. I have two Victoria’s in neutral colors (ebene and etoupe). I’m medium build, size 8-10 US/ 44 EU, and the Victoria is fine on me, but I prefer it squished down and not too full. In terms of size/scale of bag to height, if you are like me, then an all leather 35 birkin looks a bit big. I do wear a barenia toile 35 bc the two tone color breaks the mass up visually. A 30 B is a bit small on me if it’s straps are closed, but fine if worn open. The body size of a 32 HAC Is perfect. If you like East west orientation bags, it should be fine size wise, but I also like elongated East west bags (I also wear a JPG 42). HTH

1. I love my Victoria. Like a squishy big clemence marshmallow. OK, that is the WORST description I have even given of a bag... But it is a fabulous piece for day and for travel. Don't know how she did it, but one day in Paris, just after buying mine, I spotted a woman carrying hers. It was white, but her luggage tag and accessories were in orange. Incredibly cute. I do not know if she had two Victorias and exchanged accessories, or special ordered something.

2. The shoulder question. I have never felt comfortable carrying this over the shoulder. With another inch or two on the stap drop, maybe. It always seems just a tiny bit too snug. Maybe I just have fat shoulders...
Ok, I‘ve found a Victoria, but it‘s white. I‘ve never had a a white bag before. Would this be a suicide mission. I baby my bags but.... thank you

I my opinion, yes it would be. A bag is to be used, if you're overly worried/protective about it, then you won't enjoy it! Also white leather, in time, turns a dirty yellow which is not attractive. I stay away from light coloured bags all together. I'm careful with my bags but I also want to use them and enjoy them!

As I said above I’m your height, medium build, but I realized I might have an action shot. . . And I think whatever color you like:)

As per @Perigord, an older post that you quoted, it would be fabulous for the brief time it remained white  re the shoulder drop issue, I find if you don’t carry as much it helps a bit. And bc the bag holds a lot in the first place, there is ample room to squish it down. . . But it’s also incentive to diet

@rosewang924, I’m almost 53 ;) if and when you get your Rose bag, I hope you will post an action shot here! We would love to see it!

Does anyone know if Geranium is the only color that the taurillon Novillo leather is available in, for this bag? I’ve only seen it available in Geranium. Just wondering. Thank you in advance!

Thank you! I’ll look but right now the stores are all appointment only and I don’t want to go in to ask for something that they don’t offer anymore. I rarely see these on the website anymore.
Europe gets stock in between on the website. Sometimes there are none for weeks but just yesterday one popped up. Same for the boutique. It’s not the most desired model at the moment so it doesn’t get ordered in high quantities. However, I don’t think it will be an issue to get one, only if you are after a specific colour your boutique might not have ordered.

Good morning, and a happy new year !
I'm pleased to show you my new-to-me Victoria in gris tourterelle.
I also posted a worn picture in the Hermès in action thread.
I wanted this color, wanted this bag... Do I need to tell you more ^^
I wore it several times already and immediately felt it suits my style better than my GP. It looks smarter, and the slouchiness adds a little offhanded je-ne-sais-quoi :-)
I guess the Victoria's limited success is partially due to its price 1000 € higher to GP price (that's something like more than 33 %), and I should have chosen it first.
The size suits me well, I'm 5'5 and of rather large build.
