Ode to the Victoria

You seem to like neautrals. I've found the Victoria to be my most well used bag. Simply because I can stuff a lot into it.
Thank you Julide and Jadeite! Yes, i do like neutrals...so boring i know.

i needed a bag i could stuff and schlep, so I was deciding between the victoria and the mm sofia coppola (lv). They are about the same width and height, but the sofia was too deep for my liking. I like how victoria can be shoulder carried without an extra shoulder strap - love minimalism.

This is the dilemma that I'm currently facing! I want a under the radar bag for when I travel and was trying to decide between the Victoria FT or the SC LV bag. So you went with the Victoria FT?

Just to butt in here...I've had a few business trips of late and am rediscovering the joys of my Victoria FT. On one trip I was trying to travel with just handluggage and this is what I managed to get in my Vic: wallet, makeup bag with toiletries for the flight, 3 phones (don't ask), paperback, light cardigan, GM shawl. She was fine. I don't usually stuff my bags THAT much, but it's nice to know you can do so if you want!

I have 2 LV SC bags, one in monogram and one in suede. I also had a Victoria FT which I used a lot travelling: I sold it because I wasn't in love with the colour anymore (gold), but I would like one in a bright colour one day!

Basically the difference between the SC and the Victoria is that the leather SC bag is quite a bit heavier being lined in leather, while the Victoria is lined in fabric and is very lightweight. The SC is a bit bigger so you can fit more things in it, but the down side is that it will become very heavy. Now I use mostly my SC Monogram for travel, as it's much lighter weight than the leather version.

In the end they are both lovely bags, and have the same use, so it really depends on what you prefer. If you can go to the stores and try them both, that's always the best way to decide. HTH

Yes, in the end, victoria won out over sophia for me. Like Luna said, sophia is heavier and bigger (mostly depth). i was lucky enough to compare the two bags side by side (already bought victoria and took her into LV) and really, they look very similar. sophia does have that extra shoulder strap and some ppl love that.

Thank you ladies! You all gave me sound advice.:tup::tup:

saw a very special victoria today. i almost didn't recognise it because of the dark toile/leather combo. i have seen only seen toile/leather victoria in size 50..it is called the victoria FT 35 toile h tech mini/clemence..the handles and piping are rouge h in clemence, the body of the bag is toile in graphite and etoupe colours interwoven together. the etoupe is very subtle so the bag mainly look like graphite toile with rouge H handles and piping. the toile feels very structured and sturdy compared to the slouchy ones in full leather..the SA didn't know if it comes in other combos..! sorry no pics allowed..otherwise i would have taken one and posted here..

Of course, I forgot about those pesky store policies!! Thanks for the wonderful description, I will try to find one next time I am at an H store.:flowers:
