I recently hauled out a 38 cm Trim and loved carrying in. Wondering why the Trim has slipped from popularity.
Trims are really great summer bags because they are hard to carry when wearing winter clothing.

Great bag, I kitted out my turqoise 31 Trim II last week. My favourite summer bag, and with a matching 140 moussie Trois Feuilles I was good to go! Enjoy your Trim

I just received a Trim I 38cm back from Paris where they did some extensive work on her. She is Black Box with GHW. Hard to believe she was created in 1978. They did a beautiful job with her spa.

Dear Ladies,
I need your help in identifying the colour of my new to me Trim II 31 Swift L stamp. It looks like Lagon for me, as it is more green in real life, with white stitching and brown edge.

My second question is, whether it is normal, that it does not have the Hermes Paris Made in France stamp on the reverse of the closure strap? It only has a blind stamp at the reverse of the end of the main strap.

@MaggyH, my vintage Trim I originally had the heat stamp on the reverse of the closure strap. But when I took her to spa, they replaced the closure strap. The replacement strap did not receive the heat stamp. After your reply from @ForeverInPink, I'm wondering if they didn't heat stop the replacement strap because it's a replacement or because the newer Trim bags did not have a heat stamp on the reverse of the closure strap.

I'm sure it's the latter. Enjoy your bag, I love the 38 size! Please post pics when you get a chance [emoji173]️[emoji173]️[emoji173]️

Good Morning Trim friends! I got myself a very beautiful gold Trim that will arrive today... I'll post pictures later today!! i just wanted to ask you ladies: Has anyone of you taken the Trim to the Hermes spa? As it's not possible to buy a Trim from the Hermes boutique nowadawsys because they were discontinued, I bought a vintage one.. which still looks really good but still could use a little Spa Time.. do you think this is a problem?

Christineee86, I have a Trim I in black box leather that is now 39 years old. I just recently received it back from spa in Paris and they did a beautiful job on refurbishing it. I had the strap and buckle replaced, the hardware hook replaced, and the short piece of leather that connects the closure to the D rings replaced as well. She was gone for 8 months, if I recall, and her spa bill was steep. But it's such a joy to use her again!

Today I am in Paris and I brought her as my only bag to wear on this trip. She is working out great! I showed her to the 24 FSH staff and they were over the moon about her condition. Then I ran into an Asian gentleman who was buying a large Evelyne for himself in Bleu Electrique. He said how is it possible you have a bag that old, and asked my age. I gently replied that it's not a proper question to ask a lady, so he changed his question to how do you take such good care of yourself? I told him: Much better question! And I shared with him my diligent skin care routine since my teenage days. He was so excited he took a photo of the two of us together with the Trim I so he could show his mother!

Much depends on how carefully the bag has been kept. Check it for dry rot and severe cracking. But the Paris craftspeople really do work miracles, especially with box leather. Your local boutique will request an estimate and you will decide, item by item, which work you'd like performed. You can see a photo of the Trim I on the bed behind the Flamingo Party 140cm shawl. Be prepared for her to have a long and, if I might say, well-deserved sojourn in Paris before she returns to you.

@stillfabulous, Thank you SO MUCH for your information!! Your bag is so stunning! And the gentleman in the boutique was so very right, it looks like it was very well taken care of!!

I must say that I excepted to invest some money and time into my Trim but when I unboxed it this morning, I was amazed! You kind of begin to understand why Hermes bags are so expensive once you've seen an Hermes bag that is around 20 years old and still looks so beautiful.. all the stitching.. it's just so perfect and I'm so in love!

Here are some pictures of my precious new baby.. Isn't she lovely?

Well I love Trims....they are a great "grab and go" bag, and not fussy when worn. You can plop them down in the park, just about anywhere you wouldn't plop your Kellys, Birkins, Bolides, etc...

I think Trims began as the Trim I, the "Jackie O" classic - the flat one without any zipper. I think Hermes next released the Trim II, exactly like the Trim I, but with a gusset, adding depth, with no zipper. Next evolution is the Trim II with the gusset and zipper. (I don't know if the new Trim I-s have a zipper?)

I have a couple action shots, but mostly have pics of my Trims.

choc box Trim II 31 - no zipper

Katel, these modeling shots really illustrate how easy the Trim is to wear. It practically melds to your body. This chocolate color is absolutely divine on you!

It's such a beautiful bag! I didn't even know not all of them have a Zipper on top.. you find very little information on the Trim online.. which I don't understand really because it's one of the most beautiful Hermes bags that I know.. I talked to a very nice lady who has a store for preloved Hermes and she taught me that not all of them have the inside pockets that mine have (mine has one with a zipper and one without a zipper)... so that's a difference, too! The older ones only have one pocket or none (not sure about that)..

What I love about the Trim is that it's very low-key.. you really have to SEARCH for the hermes branding!! Which is sometimes good because I love the Hermes quality but I do not want to wear a bag where everyone can see that it's an Hermes bag (e.gy at work)!
