Two wonderful pieces for your collection, congratulations LKB!
Thank you so much @Croisette7!
Gorgeous LKB! Can I ask you how you tied Filip Jardin piece - I would love to steal it from you! is it bias fold moved to the side?
Thank you @Ashanti_Rose -- here is my answer to your question below. I use this "cowboy weave" a lot! Hope you like it!
@withsriracha apologies for the late reply-- I have been remiss in participating on this thread. My knot you refer to is a "cowboy weave"-- you have mostly done it here but you start with the cowboy triangle fold and instead of crossing the tails and tying in front, proceed as if making a weave knot, bringing one tail under and one over-- you can then tie on the side if you like!

Good evening everyone. Are all cashmere shawls double sided?
I purchased one today (Cosmographia) from a local consignment shop and see it’s not double sided. I only own one other shawl, purchased in the boutique, and it’s double sided. Curious about it. It had the tag, stamped S from a sample sale.

What do you mean by "double sided"? There are silk 90s that are double face - meaning the design is printed on both sides - at times in different colorway - thus creating various possibilities for wear. I am not aware of any cashmere 140 being double faced.

Thank you!

Double faced- that’s the correct term. Thanks for letting me know. Maybe I miss-saw the first shawl I have and it’s actually not double faced.

Dear shawlies, I can use some advice.
I am traveling back in time several months and choosing a colorway for Libre Comme Pégase, a design I have wanted for some time but just never pulled the trigger. I have searched and perused the few modeling pics and I love both of these (both are on hold for me). I think both are wearable this summer as well as going forward into other seasons.
Any votes on Cobalt/Jaune/Blanc versus Vert/Naturel/Bleu?
Much appreciated!!!!

I’m of the same mindset as @textilegirl in terms of wearability…

They’re both great choices, and it’s thisclose but the green gets the edge for me because it’s not quite as strong. Both will work with a monochrome outfit (all white, all black ) but the green might be easier to incorporate with patterns and other color combinations. :flowers:

Many thanks!! I will try both on, but I DO have a lot of blue shawls :amuse: and I love green! I've seen the blue CW hung as art and it was amazing, but that does not make it the best choice to wear!

I love this design, and both colorways are beautiful. But, I also vote for the green! Have fun trying them, and good luck with your decision. :flowers:

ETA - I now see the green has natural, and the blue has white. I'm picturing the blue one with summer whites! I'd have a hard time deciding and would probably end up buying both! :P

It is a tough one to answer. I think you have to consider your complexion (skin color, eye color, hair). If you have blond hair/blue eyes, I would suggest getting the blue one. If your complexion is darker, the green one would be a hit. Also, think about your wardrobe and what you are planning to wear it with - and when. The blue one is more spring/summer, the green one would be perfect over winter months.. good luck - they are pretty!

I have a scary feeling that I might buy both! The design is reasonably simple so you're right about the blue with summer whites, and in summer I wear white, navy, black, and yellow a fair amount....

Haha I have blonde hair and green eyes! Although my whole family is dark-skinned, I am the pale one, a throwback to a Scandinavian somewhere :) It's clear I just have to go with my gut :P let's hope my gut has its credit cards ready!

Update on Libre Comme Pégase! The blue CW WILL be amazing with summer whites but I had to go for the green. It is a darker and more neutral green IRL than in H pics, which we all know are unreliable.
