I am new to Hermes scarves and only have three: a Jaguar Quetzal 90cm (authenticated here!), a Guepards Maxi Twill Slim, and an Acinonyx Wash 140. That GM was one of the most expensive purchases I have ever made (grad student budget) and I wanted to maximize my enjoyment of it, so I have it hanging above my bed affixed by magnets so I can easily take it down. The JQ is also hanging in my bedroom, but isn't relevant for this thread

My SO is traveling in Europe soon and has been sent on a mission for a CSGM or giant triangle at an airport shop. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

edit: WHOOPS, I thought this thread was also for silk GMs based on the title, and I don't think I can delete! sorry!

You've got 2 cats of perfection in this photo:catlick::loveeyes:

NTM Au Fil du Carré!! Had to take the rescue boat from Ban Island to get it but could not resist CW 07 Blanc/Ocre/Vieux Rose and a shawl that combines so many of Annie Faivres‘ designs! ❤️

Thank you, dear etoile, for your lovely comments! ❤️ Really had the feeling, that this one had my name on it…
Loving those colours and what a fascinating design ….as you say many of AF features there.
Dear frou frou! Thank you so much! I had been able to define at least 10 of her designs right away. Still researching the remaining ones. What a gorgeous riddle…!

Does anyone have or have at least seen the American Quilts 140 shawl? I have only seen one color way on line and it sells as soon as it pops up. It seems all of the other Fall 2022 shawls are readily available. Is the American Quilts a limited edition? I don't have an SA in the United States and the shawl seems completely unavailable in Europe. Thanks!

Pondered a bit, and finally bought this. Will be fun to try this size, and I just find this design so funny. The colors are right up my alley, too. The colors are brighter (fairly true, as shown here) when compared to the H.com pics. I hope this size belongs on this thread!

This is my favorite size! Beautiful, and tempting!!

Hi all I recently discovered the giant triangle in cashmere silk and wanted to know, is it precisely half the size of a 120 shawl? Would it be crazy to split a shawl diagonally and get two triangles out of it? I know I know, crazy idea, but had to ask.

I’m pretty sure it’s half the size of a 140cm (didn’t measure) but the long side will need to be finished somehow. I’m not sure I’d be happy with two hand finished sides and a machine stitched long side. Unless of course you have access to one of the H silk specialists who hand finishes the hems (French name is escaping me ATM) :P

In theory, you could split the large 140cm into 2 halves but it will result in the design being cut in half.
The triangles on the other hand have a complete, coherent design.

Oops meant 140cm. I would definitely want the long side to be hand stitched to match the shorter sides but didn't know if H would be willing to do it.
