I think it is the same principle as washing silk. I use a wool wash ( I use my washing machine and put it in a lingerie bag) dry excess in towels and lay on my huge drying rack to dry. I can’t remember if there is a thread on it. I will let you know if I see a thread on it:flowers:
Thank you so much Julide! :flowers: And thank you for your washing tips! Greatly appreciated! I'll do what you do!:heart::heart:

Sorry to pester you again..... Does this mean no spinning (i.e. after wash cycle wringing of water)?
No bother at all:flowers:Best to ask first before you try! I think my washers settings has high wringing all the way to none. The woolen setting uses I think the low setting so not much wringing of the water in the spin cycle, dripping but not dripping wet as if you brought it out of a bucket of water. So there is quite a bit of water but not as much as hand washing. I hope this makes sense and maybe if you have more questions we should move this to the hand washing thread so we don't get a:lecture:by the Mods:P

i'll throw in my 2 cents quickly - i wash my CSGMs by hand, fill up a med size plastic bowl with cool tap water, add a cup of Woolite (this can be any mild washing liquid for delicate actually), stir it till foam appears, dip the shawl, let it get wet/soak, and just wash normally. Repeat this with clean water to rinse, and squeeze gently.
Then i leave it on a towel until it stops dripping and hang out of the laundry rope to dry naturally. :)

Thank you so much ksuromax! :flowers:Thought about hand-washing too as another choice, but wasn't sure of method, so this is SUPER DUPER helpful! Good to know both ways! Thank you so much!:hugs:
