lovely shawls here!

I'm looking at a shawl with about a one inch cream / ivory border. i only usually get darker coloured shawls but with such a light border, I'm worried that it will get dirty or get discoloured? am i being worried for nothing? I am usually careful with these shawls.. just want to get others peoples experiences.

i was going to get the shawl in another colorway but it looks like its sold out because its past season and this ivory border colorway is the only one left.

IMO, go for the shawl that you love in the c/w you love, and don't think you need to be any less or more careful with stains! In other words, try to keep them out of the gravy regardless ;-). Worse comes to worst, wash the whole thing with care after reading up on that in the threads here! Good luck on your decision

Definitely go with the shawl you love best, ivory border or not. I have a few shawls with ivory borders and one got a nasty stain on the border. I washed it carefully with the Laundress soap and when I was finished there was no more stain to be found! And this was after the stain had definitely set in and even my dry cleaner would not touch it. Good luck with your decision.
