Wow what a fabulous display of animals!!!! Great shawls!!!

aw, thanks IF-what have you added this season? :graucho:

Your new Panthera is crazy beautiful MrsOwen, and just perfect with your Kelly  I think many of us have fallen in love with the animals on H scarves...they're just so beautifully rendered. You have a gorgeous collection!

I just love the detail in the animal designs, I don't find myself responding to the overall elaborate designs with the exception of L'Arbre which works for me because it's just two colors. And you're right, the detail they're able to capture is so stunning it is wearable art!

Mrs.O,
We are twins, sisters and cousins on most of your shawls.

Of course, I think you have fabulous taste.

I haven't picked out my Panthera yet.
Please tell me the cw of the pink one. I think it may be my first choice that was not in the store yet.

I have the blue one at home with me now but it is going back.

Good job on the shawls!

As Werner said, it's CW08 Gris Chine, Rose, Ardoise I understand the dilemma, when I saw the blues on the Spring thread I was sorely tempted but I'm glad I waited for this one!

Beautiful pics, Mrs O. Love how organised you are! :hugs:

I am yearning for PP CW 06, don't know if I will take the leap yet.

Thanks Vigee, they are all so beautiful. I don't normally go for the more painterly designs but the corners on this one are really gorgeous. Wearing it today, will try for a mod shot that may help you decide.

Very nice collection MrsOwen and this pink panthera is great match with your beautiful stain kelly :smile1:

Thanks, the bag is why I was on the hunt for a primarily gray shawl.

Yeah! Great when a new piece finds it way home. Kind of like a new puppy, if you know what I mean? Gets to play with all your other treasures and everything perks up just a little bit.

Nice collection you have MrsOwen!

Thank you!

My CW Panthera arrived, yay! I realized that I have 4 shawls that feature large animal faces so I took a pic as well as a collection pic, I have only been collecting 2 years now and I love my neutrals! Thanks for letting me add to this Ode thread!
Love your elegant collection, Mrs. Owen!
We share some common pieces, including the Etoupe K/ GHW. I have been eyeing this Rose Panthera, and it looks fabulous with the K. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Monceau, my K is actually Etain (its a SO with the white stitch) but I believe this shawl would look great with the slightly warmer tones of Etoupe as well!

These are really special... It will be very hard to decide!! :sweatdrop:

Dear Sammy, regarding the Charabia :graucho:, once you see them, will you let us know what you think? Loving this design! And wondering, is the weave more like a CS plume (but hopefully thicker), or more like the traditional CS herringbone weave? I had my magnifier up to my computer screen trying to determine!

Congrats on the pink beauty!! What an amazing shawl!! Love your collection - especially the four big animal faces!!

Beautiful!!
Thank you, dear michumichu!

Will, unfortunately, only be able to go to the store next week, so a friend of mine took 'spy pics' of the two CWs reserved for me: CW 03 and CW 14 in comparison. It really gives just a hint of the design and I am hoping for Croisette's pics to give more details - but it gives us at least a first idea of the so far still elusive CW 14! :smile1:

Dear etoile de mer! So sorry, was at the store already today and just very quickly and did, unfortunately, not really pay attention to the weave (and would also not have been the expert to distinguish... ;)) If you look at the pics I posted on page 577, would this hopefully help you...? - What I can say about the Charabia, now that I tried it, is that I really LOVE the design!!! It is special and very cool! The horses in CW 14 are more prominent than in CW 03, so, CW 14 until now for me... It is truly gorgeous! Background is not beige but light grey - so completely different compared to my Caducee Rock!! :graucho: Waiting now for CW 07 and will need to take a decision then... :sweatdrop:

Hi Sammy! Many thanks for your reply, and excited to hear you loved it! The light grey, CW14 sounds beautiful! I'm hoping to see CW14 and CW15 (blue on blue). CW07…which one is that? :graucho: Trying to keep track! Your friend's pics were so helpful. Those were the ones I was using my magnifier on. :D Please no worries that you didn't notice the weave. I can easily ask my SA about that.

The Charabia is the traditional CSGM herringbone weave- it's not a plume.

There are six colorways: the three I posted (03, 07, 15)
14, owned by the very fortunate and stylish Croisette, and generously shown in a sneak peek by
the equally classy and stylish Sammy Royal
And two other colorways, with elusive numbers. However, I have seen the thumbnails and I can say of
the mystery colorways that one has green and cobalt looking accents and the other has camel/ goldenrod looking accents, both on a neutral/ Naturel background.

Thanks so much for all the info, Monceau! :flowers: And so glad to hear it's the herringbone weave. That weave seems a tiny bit sturdier (if one can even use that word for these shawls) than a plume type weave.
