I apologize in advance for all of these pictures my dear friends, but I am so torn about keeping this new Boulevards CSGM in the black and white CW. I have been in love with this design since it came out, and have been unable to find a CW in both the 90cm and the CSGM that seems to look ok on me. At the boutique yesterday, they somehow still had this CW of it, so I tried it and it really looks quite nice with my coloring. I have been trying to add a more neutral shawl to my small collection (I have primarily very bright and/or jewel toned scarves and shawls)...so this seemed perfect..A design I really, really want and in a very neutral CW that plays well with my wardrobe. I am hoping some of you who have this one may chime in with input...I believe both croisette and lanit and maybe sissy milano may have this CW? Thank you so much in advance for your input!! :hugs:

Bova, I just saw this thread. Love all of your modeling pics. I think it is flattering on your complexion and the fact that you add red earrings helps give it a little pop. You should definitely keep it.

Bova I'm the polar opposite of you. I wear neutrals almost all the time and generally shy away from bright and jewel tones although H has managed to convince me to accept one or two pieces of colour. Likewise, this neutral piece is smashing on you. In fact, I think this b/w is rather striking due to the layout, definitely not a subtle wallflower. Tres chic! :smile1:

You've tied it beautifully, in so many elegant ways. Please keep it. I own it as well, and you've inspired me to knot it differently. Tres chic:)

Bova, chiming in late dear twin. I love this shawl to bits. It looks amazing on you. You make it very elegant with the b/ w Chanel look.

Why I love it: my work involves architectural design and this shawl just speaks to me. When the colorful versions came out earlier in the season, I knew I wanted one. But all my shawls are colorful in general. My SA said I really needed to wait for this one, knowing my shawl collection. I passed on the b/w zebra, the Tiger and the Brandeborg waiting for the right b/w shawl. Admittedly I do not Lways wear mine with just black. I wear mine with color, stripe, greys and white. And mostly with my denim and charcoal leather jacket. I think the pattern is very balanced but graphic. Since that is what I appreciate most about its quality, I enjoy wearing this shawl at least once a week if not more. I know I will enjoy it in spring and summer with white linen shirts.

If something is bothering you about it, then perhaps you should try on the jewel tone versions because they are stunning. I would not mind another colorway of this shawl in the very least. My feeling is to really love a shawl when you pull it out and wear it, H will typically issue a shawl in b/w once a season. When the EX Libris noir came out, it was so flattering on evyone else but not me. The black background swallowed me whole. It was a shawl that I would have leaped for just for its classic pattern. I had to turn it away a few times heartsick doing so, then figured it was not meant to be. This is my only black and white GM so I know it will be enjoyed for quite a few years. You must love it though, so I will say try it for another week with some outfits that you enjoy wearing whether daily or if you think it is more for special occasion. But also try on the colorful versions if they strike your heart and soul more.

Good luck with your decision and try it with your favorite tops and jackets!:hugs: PPS I agree with frou frou that this shawl rocks with jewel tones. I especially favor it with deep purples, violets, reds and cobalt.

I bought this shawl on a trip to London last fall. I have many twins to didn't post pictures as you have all seen it before. While I was decorating for the holiday, I can across this little cutie that I had bought in Mexico, probably 10 years ago....and looky here....how funny is this...it matches the shawl! So happy to be twins with so many of you, I LOVE this shawl!! LadV!
Hopiko, high fives dear twin! I adore this one you and it is one of my favorite shawls this season! Isn't it the amazing looking at all the color and Art? Gorgeous choice!

Thank you so much for your input ms piggy, I agree with you that the sharp contrast of black and white really makes this piece special, and it doesn't hurt that when I put it on it feels very Parisian chic to me ;)

Wow! Thank you so much for your very thoughtful input lanit. You have helped me many times on these threads to make these H decisions!

Like you, all of my CSGM's and my 140cm silks (2 of these), are all very, very colorful and bright. And although I wear black a lot, if I do wear color, it is usually a bright or jewel toned sweater. Sometimes the colored sweaters along with a very bright, colorful scarf or shawl can be too much if you know what I mean. In addition, living in a cold climate there are many times I wear a scarf as my accent to an outfit, but need to layer a CSGM over to run errands, or even to be in the house at times. So the idea of a more neutral shawl appeals to me.

I will take your advice and try it this week with some colorful tops around the house and see how often I think to grab it. The strikingly graphic nature and contrast in this CW is what I really like as well. I have tried all of the CW's in both the CSGM and the 90 and this is truly the only one both myself and my SA really like on me. Thank you again dear lanit!
