Hello papertiger,

Have you seen the PM version? I thought it was adorable, when I tried t on. The horse head runs across the finger, instead along the length. The overall scale is much smaller. If the GM feels too heavy, perhaps the PM would work better for you.

I keep thinking about it! My store did not have the PM in my size, otherwise it may have come home with me! ;)

The PM is cute :smile1: Have you seen the PM bracelet?

Thanks for you reply etoile

I know what you mean, I am so in-love with the GM, I think I can't think with my head, although I am trying to. There was no PM last week at the store but I might look around for one.

My sweet SA wants to know if she should do a search for what should be my perfect size. I would feel bad putting her to a lot of trouble if it was still a difficult ring to wear even in the right size, and I don't mean everyday, just now and again.

Galop GM ring MOD shot. Taken very quickly--I will get better pics up soon :) My fingers are very swollen--too much salty Korean food--hehe.

Hi there :smile1: I know EXACTLY what you mean. I bought the size 50 and asked my SA to order in the 51 as I cannot stand tight rings. The 50 fits but I've tried it on multiple times over the past few days and if my fingers are at all swollen, it's just too uncomfortable for my personal preference. I live in a warm climate so I do have to take that into consideration.

That being said, I am typically in between sizes when it comes to H rings. Same thing with my rose gold Kelly Dog, but I decided to size up and I'm glad I did, although that clearly is not a heavy piece.

With this Galop GM ring, I don't mind the weight at all but I do worry as you mentioned because it is so heavy that if it is too big, there will be too much movement which will be uncomfortable as well. I guess I will find out today which size I'm going to go with.

I think the ring is worth it because I truly think it's gorgeous and unique but sizing can make things difficult.

Have you by chance seen or tried on the PM Galop bracelet? If so, what do you think? My size was not available in store so I also had that brought in. The GM didn't work for me but I think the PM might be a good fit...I don't know....just curious about thoughts on the bangle. :thinkin:

So true and it looks great on you bluebichonfrise. The Gallop range on everyone on this thread look fabulous and so tempting.

This sizing problem happens with most heavy cocktail rings and that is why I believe the sizing is so important, H should do half sizes with this ring. I don't want to lose a finger to look good but it would be so annoying to have it falling to one side or another if too big. However, better too big than uncomfortable.

As for the bracelet: On looks alone it is a pure-bred winner :p Seriously, I think it is the most beautiful horsey bracelet I have ever seen but for me it would be in addition to the ring so we shall see.

Hello bluebichonfrise!

Yes, I've seen both the PM and GM Galop bracelets at my boutique. I was more drawn to the GM, and tried it on. I preferred it as I loved the twisted portion of the bracelet, as well as its closure. But, as they only had an XS, which was too small for me, it was a bit hard to assess comfort and fit. And as the Farandole recently came home with me, and the PM ring is calling me, the GM bracelet is a bit of a wish list item! But I loved it, and 'we' bonded in that short amount of time. ;) I really wanted to give that horse a 'proper' home! As I was so attracted to the GM, I completely forgot to try on the PM bracelet.

In case you did not see them, I'm posting links to both of carlinha's previous posts, showing her GM Galop, and photos of the PM. I thought it might be helpful to have them together for reference, and she noted very helpful info regarding fit. (Thanks carlinha!) Hope this helps a bit!

Hi there! I was initially also drawn to the GM bangle, but it does nothing for me, sadly. I have now tried it on four times attempting to make it work :roflmfao: but it doesn't. My SA, I love her honesty, and DH (who I'm fortunate is as supportive as they come) were less than enthusiastic of my buying the piece as it really does me no justice. It looks wonderful on everyone else though and I love it! I decided that I was going to go for the PM bracelet which I had to be ordered as my store didn't have my size.

I'm going in shortly to try it on. We'll see if I end up with it. The Galop necklace will most likely be a must as I love my Farandole 160 and wear it all the time!

Congrats once again on your Farandole--it's a spectacular piece! Thank you also for the pics! :D

Thank you for your kind words :smile1: H should really do half sizes on all of their rings truly as I find myself in between sizes frquently. Evidently, I'm not alone in this--lol!

I agree better a bit loose than to be tight.

Looking forward to seeing which of the Galop pieces, next comes home with you! :smile1:

I Finally got the PM Galop bracelet--I LOVE it although I find it very difficult to get on and off. In my opinion, much more of a challenge than the SS CDC which I found difficult to remove at first...obviously that didn't stop me as I purchased anyway. Here he is still wearing his protective plastic :D

Congratulations on your handsome guy, bluebichonfrise! They still aren't in my store yet and so I haven't seen one IRL. This is beautiful and the face of the horse is so well crafted.

Gorgeous! Congrats! I saw that at Ala Moana on a day trip a few weeks back and thought it looked like liquid silver. I was on Oahu for work, which luckily enough was near Ala Moana, but sadly I only had lunch break to dash around peeking into my fave boutiques.
