hi guys, which of the below two you'd recommend better for a 20-something years old guy?
Farandole bracelet
Chain d'ancre bracelet

Love them both but never tried any. Is the CDA much heavier than the Farandole? I usually like heavy and chuncky bracelets.

Thanks !

For a guy, I would suggest the CdA, esp if you like heavy & chunky... alternately you could consider the Alea, which is similar look, or the boucle sellier which is still heavy and masculine to me. Have fun deciding!

The Boucle d'Sellier Geant (the big big one) is the chunkiest and is a statement piece. A lot of look. A totally GREAT look.

For a guy I would prefer the Chaine d'Ancre bracelet. Try the larger sized links (GM or TGM). I think they will fulfil your requirements of weight and chunkiness.

Less than the leather CDC but it's not the most comfortable bracelet to wear when the weather is hot.

That's what I thought. (It looks like in hot weather the all-silver CDC would be equivalent to wearing rigid shoes after you've been walking for a while. (Of course, maybe if my wrist felt as stuffed into a sausage casing as my feet, maybe the two sources of discomfort would "cancel" each other out?).

I can never remember what hot weather feels like till it's actually here big time. Thank you LoveBracelet for confirming what I thought.

eagle, I'm still waiting for the SS16 silver pieces to arrive! No sign of the "Ever Chaine d'Ancre" necklaces, yet. But also curious what the new fall pieces might be!

The Ever Chaine d'Ancre necklaces are now available on EU H.com here
€1,160 (£1050) for the loop necklace and €860 (£780) for the toggle Y version

What is interesting to me is the fairly small amount of traction the Licol collection of a year or two ago has gotten on this thread. There is a fabulous silver necklace that has an asymmetrical drape of chains -- really suited for a dress-up event, not for everyday. Nobody seems to have modeled that.
The bracelet worked on the same principle, multi-chain draping. Again, no sightings.

I requested my boutique to get what is evidently called the rope necklace which is a long chain which has a tear-shaped pendant with tassels dangling from the bottom. They never got it which is ok b/c I'm more bracelet/ring oriented. But it seems something in the design was prone to scratching (if I got that right). I've never even seen it on display.

Besides the Licol ring which is eminently wearable -- Lanit, you modeled one, right? -- I have never seen the other Licol items. I wondered if anybody had pursued any of these and how they liked them?

I thought I would share some images from the SS2016 Ever Chaine d'Ancre silver collection that's new in the boutiques. Madison Ave windows are featuring the necklaces and bracelet, and I purchased the earrings as soon as they appeared in the store early in February.

It's a beautiful, elegant collection.

We are twins on the earrings arabesques. They are so beautiful when worn and in action. I picked up the shorter necklace as well and I too thought the price was quite good. I was told by one of the marketing persons in charge of Hermes Bijoux sales the Ever CdA collection has been very well received and is sold out in Paris!

Arabesques and I both have the Licol earrings. They remain one of my favorite H purchases ever, and I wear them lots.

If I could have any of the three different styles of Licol necklace that I've seen, I would in a heartbeat. Same goes for the bracelet. I just can't justify it when I need to work on expanding my bag collection! I think the whole collection is stunning and wish I could collect it all. I'd be happy to see more modeling pictures of Licol pieces so I can live vicariously! :D

Any pix available of the Licol necklaces (including the short one which I don't believe I ever knew about) or the Ever CdA collection, Ms. Piggy and Arabesques?

The Thread on Hermes Windows around the World evidently needs a pix of that Madison Ave. window!!!!

I forgot about the Licol earrings which are lovely and eminently wearable, sorry about that, Arabesques and Ms. Piggy.

The necklace which has a multi-chain asymetrical drape is like $6.5K. Yikes. The other necklaces and the Licol bracelets I have not seen modeled. Nor have I seen the Ever CdeA collection except for the bracelet pix in Le Monde d'Hermes.
