So the other mod shots were just tryouts when the scarf first arrived. Today I actually wore the scarf to work as seen below. I tied a bow and pulled one side out so only one loop of the bow remained.

Hey scarfies! I'm back from Dallas and the visit to the Samurai Collection. I will post this weekend with lots of pictures but here is a tiny preview to whet your appetite. This is a picture of the actual suit of armpit used on our beloved design:

I find it interesting that cw 5 is the closest to real life.

Cw 12. It was not on my must see list but it was the first piece that arrived at my boutique. Sharing the pic here for those considering. I was surprised by how lovely the pink and green combo is. The red lends a nice pop even if red is not for me.

Silly thought #1 -- if that's true-to-life colour, what could have gone into the decision to choose those colours? Was the decision random, as in armor colours were due to available dyes and materials at hand, or was it borne of a deeper aesthetic; would a samourai choose the colours thinking -- were I to die in battle, I would go to the afterlife in the most beautiful armor I own?
Silly thought #2 -- should I get a backup cw 05?? I am completely in love with it!
