Hi PF! I'm considering a Kelly II but wondered, for those that have had theirs for awhile, how much do you use it and how much does it fit? I understand it's a small bag, I'm ok if it's just my iPhone, cards, etc. Or should I go for a K25 sellier?
I dont use it a lot and it does not fit a lot. That said, I adore the bag. Whether a K20 or K25 is the right fit for you depends on your current collection. If you need something for every day, a K25 is a wonderful bag. I think of the K20 as more of an evening or special occasion bag when it is fun and your needs are minimal. Mine will fit my phone, keys, cards, and a lipstick and it is maxed out.
If you have lots of other bags and are looking for something fun to add to your collection, the K20 fits the bill.

Got it. Great advice. Sounds like the K20 is the right direction. I have a K25 retourne but do have a sellier on my list too. The rest are B25, 30, 35 and 2 K28's. The mini looks so cute and I'm hoping for a pop of color (Rose tyrien in ostrich). Understanding this is not epsom, I still like the idea of a cross body option that holds just the necessities :)

I haven't had mine for long but I have used it quite a bit already to be able to judge how it fits my lifestyle. It does NOT fit my phone (I have an iphone xs max). I can fit a calvi, a lip balm, face mask, small hand sanitizer and car fob which is pretty much what I carry when just going out for dates/lunch/dinner (alfresco!).
I also have a K25 sellier and I love it too. While the K25 does fit my phone and other things like my compact bearn, a compact powder, and few other knick knacks, I don't keep my phone inside because as we all know, a Kelly especially a sellier is hard to open and close. I end up holding my phone or just having it in my pocket.
If you are presented an opportunity to get a mini kelly in specs that you like, I would advise to go for it. You don't have to worry where to put it when dining if space is limited as it can sit in your lap and just cover it with the table napkin.

This is great feedback. Thank you! I agree on the sellier K bring more challenging to open and close. Hoping ostrich gives slightly more.

Yep. Sounds like you would really like a K20 and it will fit in your collection well.

do you think chevre or epsom holds structure better in the mini kelly ii? i tend to choose chevre over epsom whenever I'm given the option but I'm wondering in this size if epsom might be better? i like the mini bags as structured as possible and intend to use it a lot so wondering what leather will look and hold up better over time...anyone that owns this in both leathers that can offer their experience? thanks in advance..

HI! I do not own a Mini II....yet :) I did however get to try one on last week in black chevre. I noticed the chevre did not feel as sturdy as expected. Definitely super light. I think it would hold it's shape nicely but it was a lot less ridged than expected.

thanks for sharing. yea my SA asked if i prefer the chevre or epsom in the mini K and I'm just not sure for this particular style! i will likely go for a bright fun color (if offered) and if given the option between a bright color in chevre or epsom, i'd have a hard time deciding..

I don't think there will be significant structure loss on a very small bag even if it's on a softer leather (chevre, swift) just from regular wear and tear. The shape would keep depending on how much you would fill it up.
