I was told that it was a stroke of luck to find, so I would like to make it work, but I'm still undecided...

You are very sweet Monceau :flowers:- your taste is non pareil so I am sure this is gorgeous. I know what you mean about stepping outside your color palette comfort zone- it takes quite a bit of courage. I adore cw05- it was the first ExLenK I bought- a no-brainer. I then bought 07 because it was so fresh and colorful. Your cw06 has intrigued me and if I had gone for another, 06 would be the likely candidate. Take time with your decision (at least within the return timeframe ;))- I understand your dilemna. It is a striking shawl on you.

Hello Israeli Flava, Sandy has really created horrible probs. I know that many business are "off" as a result of it. What I try to tell myself is, that the scarf will come to you, you may not get it when you think you need it, but if you truly need it (or want it) it or something better will come.
Maybe it will be a simple fix for your roof, or maybe something wonderful will happen. I had myself in a tizzy over a scarf, could not get through the 800 H ph#, and now i know that its okay................... best to you, be safe and warm. Best me

I was thinking of getting a 90x90 silk scarf in this pretty design.
But am not too sure if it will fit in during winter..
Any suggestions or ideas how to wear this silk in winter. . :thinkin:

I personally don´t pay too much attention to what season it is (other than dressing warm/light etc) when picking what shawl to wear. I like bright colours during Winter, they cheer you up! I think the ExLenK is an all year round pattern.

I recommend you to buy it and start wearing it asap!:smile1:

I know so well how you feel about the shawl , mind you I'm the grand mistress of indecision and have recently purchased C'way 05 , returned it to the store as it didn't feel special , and then revisiting the store last week I bought it again .
And I still don't know if I want to keep it !
I can only say that my feelings were so positive when the blue CSMC came home with me and I adore it , so I have my answer .
And reading your post I think you will never feel that affinity that makes a piece feel part of you .

ITA about the mix of colors. I was drawn to the shawl by the mix of colors (and still find them captivating.) I love looking at this cw, but it is so different from anything else I own. I have two shawls that I love but have never worn, because they don't work for me. I just want to make sure that this beauty will get the use she deserves, whether it is with me or another Kimonos aficionado!:smile1:

06 arrived and it is spectacular, but it is not me. I LOVE looking at this cw, and it looks fabulous on PoliticalGal, La Vie en Rose, and Lala, but I can't pull off the intense yellow-green. This is such a vibrant and glorious cw, but I feel like the shawl is wearing me, so I must say adieu.
For now, 05 works best for me. Looking forward to seeing 08 IRL...

gosh i think it looks great on you Monceau the black waves and the grey bits goes with the black and gray outfits that you are wearing in the modelling pics. it doesn't come across as the shawl wearing you at all. :smile1: but if you don't like it, return it and buy something you LOVE :D

^^ agree with above I have same color way and I am actually wearing it almost every day and the design and colors are so versatile that you can find different ways of wearing it but again the most important thing is if you like it on yourself or not and if answer is no then return it and buy something else :)

Ooh, what a gorgeous pairing! You are so fortunate to have cw 01 of the 90. I was on a ban and missed this one by waiting too long.

Fortunately it WAS easy and cheap!!!!!! He scared me at first and said I could possibly need a new roof bc he saw it "buckling" but that turned out to be a false alarm/optical illusion. Beieve it or not, once he examined the roof, it was a missing NAIL that caused a hole. Three days of rain inside my attick :wacko: But it's fixed. But I am waiting on a Mais Gator CDC so I'm trying to be good.
