^That's a tough one, Minda. So sweet of your DH! Have you tried tying it different ways so that the different colours show? Maybe these colours can work for you, even though it wasn't the shawl that you envisaged wearing. That has happened to me in the store several times. I try on something handed to me by the SA when I'd never have picked it up myself. Then suddenly i think, "Wow - this actually does look really good on me."
However, if the colours are not flattering and you'll never wear it I would exchange it. I'm sure it won't bring either you or your DH any joy if it lives at the back of your closet.

That's the list for the 90 silk carre.

We seem to have both the 90 silk carre and the 140 GM shawl posted in here, the title will be renamed to the Ode to Ex-Libris en Kimono.

I'm officially in! Exchanged color way 3 for 5.... I loved the indigo waves in 3 but found it difficult to come to terms with the other half of the scarf (horse carriage against bamboo portion). 5 is more subdued and I can see myself wearing this scarf in spring, autumn and winter. Here are some pics to show how this scarf might work. First, with brown leather jacket.

Yeay Minda!! I'm glad you got cw5, the colourway you initially wanted. (DH was a gem to surprise you with the cw3 though hehe).

Thanks xquisite for your sharing your thoughts. I had a really hard time deciding whether to exchange. First, two SAs helped me decide and they both thought 3 was great for my skin tone. The intense blue waves helped lift my complexion. However, I prefer more subdued clothing and tones. I could see myself wearing 5 and not feeling too self conscious. Guess my personality won over what technically looks good on me!
