Nylon, canvas, no leather collections

I had a cork coin pouch, which didn’t last long - I think it was the weight of the coins that started to drag on, and eventually weakened the cork material.

You may be interested in Knomo https://www.knomobags.com/row/grosvenor-place-tote-black-3458.html?nosto=frontpage-nosto-above or Lipault https://www.lipault-usa.com/bags/totes-and-shoulder-bags#sz=12&start=12 but again, their nylon bags typically have leather trimmings. I have a few Knomo pieces and they’re excellent for work and travel. If you do find nice nylon bags without leather, please do share!

Those are nice bags. Do you not carry leather? To be clear, I love leather but I feel like it is killer on my shoulders and neck. I used to carry leather totes to work, but switched to a nylon backpack and the switch has been huge on my neck. I also stopped carrying my pandora and feel like that bag was just too heavy as leather.

Sustainability is a nice advantage to non leather. But I like how nylon (w exception to Longchamp) wears on the corners, usually no wear w high quality nylon.

I am curious about other materials too.

I know what you mean about heavy bags and leather often being the culprit.

I do have leather handbags but also like to explore different materials. I have a love/hate relationship with Le Pilage. Very practical and comfy, but I find the corners wear out rather quickly. I was told to bring back to worn bags and they can fix it, free of charge, but haven’t found the time to do so.

I think a lot of people like the idea of being able to wash off nylon bags easily. I looked at a preloved Prada in nylon but decided against it because it was a bit too laid back for me.
My niece only buys canvas or nylon or patent leather because she's vegan and doesn't like the idea of using leather goods. I respect that . ( Not commenting on if vegan is good or bad, just giving reasons why some people don't buy leather)
I personally like leather though and don't feel like canvas holds up as well for me personally.

I had my mom’s Le pilage repaired and it was very easy. Just paid for shipping when I dropped it off at the store. I don’t know any other brand that makes it so easy and virtually free.

Yes, dabish! You are pointing to why u don’t like nylon too. I saw a Prada nylon tote and thought the same, too plain. Then I saw some vintage Prada nylon with chain straps and felt like it was trying too hard. I really like leather too....

I highly recommend LeSportsac bags, which I have a lot of (just counted 24, plus at least 10 accessory pieces). I started buying them in 2006 and haven't stopped loving them since.

I've never had to retire one because none have worn out as yet. I find the variety in styles incredible, with some classics continually produced.

Most prints I don't care for, but every so often there is one that I find irresistable and makes me struggle to abstain from buying. But all styles also come in solid colors, in case prints are not your thing.

The quality of the zippers, stitching and fabric is wonderful. And since reading in PF, I noticed that some newer models are similar to high end bags, e.g. the LeSportsac Amelia reminds me of the LV Alma, and there are others.

My wallet is always a LeSport three zippered case. I can carry everything that I need in these cases (I have several). I've tried to go the leather wallet way, but the classic wallets just don't work out for my needs.
