Neo Alma BB!!

I actually had two Alma BB - one in Epi leather and DE. I love the shape the cuteness, but hated how stiff/hard it can be. I had Epi first. I didn’t like the way the thin strap cut-in my shoulders when I stuff my bag (yes, a bag shouldn’t be filled 95%-100%). Then the DE caught my eyes and I realized it’s much softer than Epi. I bought it without hesitation. But the same problem came back. I kept it in the cupboard and only took it out to use for special occasions when I didn’t need so much stuff with me.
Took a LV hiatus about 2-3 years and found they made Alma BB in a much softer material (Empreinte) like only recently during my research for another bag on YouTube reviews.

I was 80% sure it’s a softer material just looking at the videos. I knew the OG Alma BBs I owned no longer makes my heart sing anymore. I sold both and decided to fund a new Neo Alma BB.

I walked into the store today and touched it. I fit in some things that I usually carry. Fits well without play Tetris because Neo Alma BB is slightly bigger in size than normal Alma BB. It checks all my boxes!! Softer and bigger!

The SA somehow knew I was determined to get it but the piece she showed me had the side leather tabs curled. That doesn’t fit what I want and another two women came by to admire the Neo Alma BB with the better tab! I’m like, “please go away!! I’m getting that one and please stop touching my bag-to-be” because the tab was better than the piece I was holding. Perhaps my panic look gave me away and the CA said, don’t worry let me check if there’s another one. Like a magician, she whipped out another even better one because the third one had leather tabs that were both straight. The second one caressed by the two strangers had one curled and one straight side. The one I was holding had a super curled tab on one of the side. No way I’m getting that no matter how much I liked it.

So there it is, my story with Alma BBs.

Congrats on this gorgeous bag — it was meant to be :). I got this same one and an epi one this year — and agree that the Neo is bigger and easier to use. Wish they would bring back the other 2 BB colors or introduce more colors. Enjoy!

Congrats! This piece is stunning and such an underrated bag! I think a lot of people just think of it as an alma bb but it’s so much more Devine and luxurious! Glad you were able to get one so perfect and pretty! Enjoy!

Yes. I think I followed Nicolas Ghesquière from Balenciaga to LV. After he came, I’m loving all the new twists to the old classics he made - softer bags, lighter bags, adjustable straps (to customize to different people’s height and comfort level, cannot fathom why designer house insist every bag must have the same strap length).

I don’t care what others say about him doing so many collaborations. Why can’t we think that he is being a bigger person trying to give others a chance to uplift other artists and brands to a bigger platform through collaborations and give them some recognition? I mean nobody bought Van Gogh’s paintings when he was alive or recognized his talents. Life is too short to wait till you are dead before you get some recognition, right?
