Bought this on TRR as a piece I was going to drape on our mantle for $150. When it arrived, I could tell immediately it was a knock off - polyester, and crap stitching. Sent it back for them to reauthenticate, which took two weeks, only to have them insist its real and offer to reconsign. They said it was restotched by a professional!!! BS!!!! Whomever sewed the edges used such a crappy needle that it created runs in many of the stitches. Guess I'll use it as a dust rag  So done with TRR!!!! They suck! An expert behind every item - I think not!!!!

I know someone who had authentic bags she attempted to sell through TRR confiscated because they insisted she was trying to sell fake goods. They were not fake, and TRR refused to return them to her because they were "counterfeit."

I mostly gave up on resellers after my joyous experience as a seller on Poshmark. It was the most all-consuming, thankless "side hustle" and hardly worth the effort it took.

One of the big issues that many of have found in dealing with TRR, is that their "listers" are
inexperienced & that shows through their descriptions.
Measurements are off, conditions are not described accurately, colors are not described
correctly & their shipping in many cases is sloppy.
And because their "handbags" are not returnable, that makes me feel very cautious about
a designer handbag purchase, because I don't want to be subjected to their client services which
at times can days to resolve..
There are other & more pleasant & confident ways to make purchases , JMO

I had a bad buying experience with them, as well. Fortunately, it was an inexpensive item, and I could just chalk it up to lesson learned. I asked a question once about a very expensive item, and they couldn't give me an answer. That alone should have tipped me off to their poor business practices.

Wouldn't touch them again with a 10 foot pole.

OP, I'm sorry you had to experience this twice.

Are they making dumplings with those stitches? What’s going on in the corner. Omg what a hack job. They’re just banking you’re not pissed enough to take them to court. Obviously no one would actually get a lawyer for this although selling fraudulent goods and then saying you have an expert behind them …

Anyways small claims court if you have the time? Its not even about the money but it’s just not right!!!!

If you paid via PP, why not file a dispute? Same with your CC company

I am so sorry you experienced this.

My luck with TRR has been hit and miss but in every case, they did the right thing. That said, these were all lower value items (example- one pair of jeans was final sale but they listed the wrong size). They let me return.

So I got a tad bit of a false sense of confidence feeling like if something big happened, they would do the right thing. I got caught up in a great deal for a Kelly 32 marked in “good condition”.

This was a good surprise because when it arrived, I would have described it as brand new. It came with all paperwork and the box. It is pristine and I have seen bags in this condition going for 30-50% more on sites like Fashionphile. I got lucky. I had it authenticated by 2 independent companies, one being bababebi so I know it is authentic.

After hearing stories like this, I am going to stop while I am ahead. I don’t have the stomach to roll the dice twice.

In my opinion, it does look fake / not as described if it was described as authentic. The color bleed / alignment is off and easily seen in the first photo where the blue extends beyond the black. That and the very untidy hem is not at all indicative of what passes quality control for Hermes. I think you should definitely file a claim with your form of payment / chargeback. You have a strong case I think, more so if they did not disclose in the description that it had been re-hemmed.

I am so sorry, OP. How frustrating! Hopefully you are able to at least recoup some money through disputing with PP or CC!

They were not fake, and TRR refused to return them to her because they were "counterfeit."
I find this hilariously ironic considering how many actual counterfeit items end up on TRR’s site. I feel like I report at least a handful of fake items on the site every year or so (mostly bags/SLGs, but silks and jewelry too sometimes). I wonder what even gives TRR the jurisdiction to hold purportedly “counterfeit” items hostage anyway, as if they are legitimate representatives of the brands they sell on their site. Absolutely pitiful.
