I like barrel jeans. They’ve been around for awhile (I’ve had some Mother ones for about 8ish years) but you’re right - they are super trendy right now. Sometimes when I wear mine, I feel the desire to yell “I got these before they were trendy!“ to any GenZer that walks by. I know that they give zero Fs about me, but I find them intimidating in all their coolness. Gen Z judges me in my dreams. Anyways, I digress. I think barrel jeans are a style that you either really like on you or really don’t. I think they’re super cute and I like the low slung versions the best. I don’t care for the high waisted ones as much. They feel like more of a low on your hips type of situation to me. If you’re curious, you should try them! I don’t think you will have to stop wearing them in a season. The best thing about the last 5-ish years jeans-wise is that basically everything is in style. You see it all. And I really truly don’t think anyone cares.

Do La Canadienne Booties usually sell out? There is a pair that I like, but I am not sure whether I should wait until late October/ early November when they will probably be cheaper then they are now. Any advice?

I decided to shop my closet first before creating my wishlist. I bought more than I intended to last year so I plan on being more mindful about my purchases this year.

My wish lists have morphed so much since last Thursday. The good thing about such a long preview is that there is a lot I decided I didn’t need and other things I decided I wanted. At first I told myself I didn’t need another sweater or another leather jacket or faux fur but………..all of those things I love make me who I am and give me joy to wear, so I happily went ahead and added those sweaters, those leather jackets, those faux fur jackets etc.

My niece is shopping the Icon party with me for the first time as my guest and she is beyond excited. All the other years she was on vacation or working a summer job in her college town. She is finally graduated and back in the area. We shop together when we get the chance, as I have no daughters, and we always have a blast. We are hitting the larger Nordstrom that has more merch on Tues. morning at 8am and then when we have exhausted that store we are going to other close by Nordstrom. We will try on a ton of stuff, laughing at ourselves or admiring our choices and generally having a good time.

I started my wishlist on the first day of the preview. I tend to add anything that catches my eye and then go through and edit my list. I tend to buy now and think later so that I don't regret not getting something the first go-around and then have to hunt for it. I understand that some of the items on my list are similar or similar to those I already own, so I'll need to think about whether I really want them still.

I just spent a smal fortune at TJ Maxx & the Rack this week, so my budget has diminished. Then I added stuff for my daughters & my husband (my son just wears gym clothes from Target - why do we have to get stuff for them? It cuts i to my budget. Ha!) and now it’s a little ridiculous. Only getting staples for them. My husband loves the Nordies underclothes, and I love the Proof Period Panties, so getting some teen ones for my daughter. My youngest daughter is getting nada. Oh well.
