While I didn't add a TON of things to my wish list, I actually thought there were some really nice pieces to choose from so far!
-- I really love the red Reiss outfit and want to try that on in store: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/millie-pleated-wool-blend-pants/7783673
-- The True & Co bra I wanted is on sale, hooray!
-- Is anyone familiar with Olukai sandals? I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis and these look like they'd be really comfortable: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/ohana-flip-flop-women/3072372
-- It seems like polo neck is a recurring theme, and I thought this was such a simple but versatile shirt that's less stuffy than wearing a traditional button-down: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/halogen-contrast-collar-polo-sweater/7365343
-- Not familiar with this brand but I love the "vibe"... another one to try on in person if I can! https://www.nordstrom.com/s/geo-print-long-sleeve-knit-shirtdress/7768748
-- Say what you will about the ubiquitous CeCe but I feel like this dress would come in so handy for me: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/flutter-sleeve-midi-dress/7799886

Something I thought was nice is that there seems to be a good selection within each trend. For example, if you want to try a pair of Mary Janes, there's everything from flat/ballet style (sort of The Row dupes) up to block heel chunky, in a bunch of colors. Or if you want to try super wide leg jeans, there's a range of washes as well as lengths, from cropped down to long/slouchy. I just think that's fun and can help you incorporate a seasonal trend in a way that fits with your own personal style.

A non sale recommendation for comfy sandals is Hoka. I love the ora luxe slide they’re insanely comfortable. They do have a flip flop option too that also has a plush level of cushion. I tired the original Ora slide but I have wide feet so I returned them I was excited when they came out with the luxe version because it has Velcro straps and you can adjust them to fit your feet.

I am actually happy with some of the sale! I thought the kids section was great with some very sweet prints for baby and sets (pehr, Nordstrom, Bellabu Bear). For older girls there’s a great tucker and Tate pink Jean jacket I know my girl will love, and the mini boden stuff is awesome (a dinosaur shirt and new pair of sweatpants for my little boy, their sweatpants are great).

For men I’m also happy. My husband got the All Saints shirt last year and it’s wonderful quality. A basic but I recommend. I also loved these RVCA shorts, I’m not sure he will wear them but I’ll make him try them.

I was also happy with the beauty stuff - the uBeauty set and the Dennis Grossman Vitamin C cream (this came with the LED mask last year and I love it). Always get the supergoop sunscreen set too. The prices do feel expensive this year for the sets though 😬thanks for the recommendation on the L’Occtaine hand cream, I will try it!

For ladies I wasn’t wowed by the shoes but am hoping to snag the platform ugh slippers. I got a knockoff pair at target last winter and I love them. They are great to have as house shoes especially carrying a baby up and down stairs.

For clothing I thought the L’Agence stuff is awesome as it’s all leather, silk, denim etc. not a lot of polyester! I love toile print so this is on my list. I already have a navy blue leather jacket I love (from the anny sale 7 or 8 years ago), but someone has to get this jacket. Looks awesome.

The jewlery section was nice - the MV turquoise necklace and natural pearl necklace I liked. I thought a pair of John Hardy earrings were pretty but not sure how I feel about sterling silver.

Finally, for my coffee drinkers - the anniversary blend coffee beans they sell are delightful! I wish I had gotten more last year, highly recommend!

Looking forward to seeing what everyone ends up with!

I know we all love the Anniversary sale but a PSA if you have designers you love check out their direct sites this week and next week.

I’ve found a lot of companies doing direct Fourth of July sales. I was looking at finally biting the bullet and picking up the Dennis Gross light mask and their site is doing a 20-25% off sale. Granted the mask in the sale comes with some extra stuff, but if you are looking for specific items buying directly from the brands could work.

About 10 years ago, I bought one for my teen daughter in navy blue. She used it non-stop for years for school and theater. Then she took it as her airplane personal item for a multi-week summer trip to Europe and India during college. The day she came back, I took one look at it, made her empty it in the garage, picked it up and tossed it in the washing machine on delicate. It came out clean and basically perfect. We just hung it up and let it dry. I wouldn't recommend washing it often but you can do it occasionally. I need to ask her if she still has it.

Yes, I have had a couple pairs for years. I love mine and find them very comfy. On DD's big trip mentioned above, she took a pair with her and wore them a ton while on the go for weeks. When it was hot, she was really grateful for them. She'd just rinse them off every night to remove dust and dirt.
A double endorsement -- thank you! Definitely going to give these a try!

I didn't realize Hoka made styles other than sneakers... thank you for the recommendation!

In your experience, would you choose Hoka or On running shoes? I will not be running ;) but for beginning leisurely walks.

I haven't tried Hoka but I have two different styles of On sneakers... the ones that are in NAS as "Cloud 5 Running," I have an older version of those and they are NOT comfortable for walking the way my "Cloudflow" style is (which unfortunately doesn't look to be in NAS this year). I've heard that all of their styles fit somewhat differently :/

Thank you this is good to know. I may just stay with my ASICS that I get from the sale every year.
