It's a breathtaking reveal—seeing a woman's complex emotions battling for dominance—and also worth noting as the moment when Nicole Kidman manages to once again disappear completely into a character.

"As I was filming her in this scene I forgot where I was," says Garth Davis, the movie's director. "I was completely transported." Dev Patel, who plays the son, says he was so enthralled by his co-star he almost forgot he had his own lines to deliver. "I was mesmerized," he says. "I was literally just feeding off her energy and what she was saying. She was so in her skin. She was acting from the gut—you could feel it. It was an honor to be in the room with her."

Not enamoured by this photospread nor the wearing of thongs with such a detailed and what I assume is a couture gown. TBH I don't think she's very attractive so I'm a tad biased I guess.

Haha I totally took that to mean "thong underwear" and I was like, "Where??" But yeah I totally agree, the odd choice of footwear was the first thing I noticed.

It comes as no surprise to learn that Nicole Kidman has been run off her feet with a never-ending list of guest appearances.

And on Saturday, the 49-year-old actress stunned in two outfits as she attended two separate functions.

When arriving at The Governors Awards in Los Angeles, the Australian beauty flashed her cleavage as she dressed in a plunging see-through gown.

It's as if the doc's injected so much filler into her cheeks, it's pushed them forward. She almost looks as hideous as Harvey in that photo.

It's sad though: cos I was watching something on Aussie actors tonight and they showed Nic when she first burst onto our screens, and her face, whilst not classically beautiful, was pretty and unaltered. I never thought Kidman would be the type to succumb to plastic surgery and those horrid fillers, but alas she proved me wrong. And again with the fried hair too, ugh.
