Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban head into the airport to catch a flight out of the country on Thursday (January 2) in Sydney, Australia.

The 46-year-old actress and the 46-year-old singer were joined by their daughters Sunday, 5, and Faith, 2. The family has been in Sydney for the past couple weeks to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones.

Nicole recently spoke to The Guardian about playing Gertrude Bell in the upcoming movie Queen of the Desert.

“It is a huge endeavour, so I’m in the midst of researching her right now. I’m very glad to be heading off to the desert with him to play her,” Nicole said. “I’m completely enraptured with her right now. She’s the female Lawrence of Arabia. She was English, and basically defined the borders between Iraq and Jordan that exist today, borders that she negotiated between Churchill and different Arab leaders. She went out to the desert with the Bedouin and all the different tribes that were feuding at the turn of the 19th century.”

Nicole Kidman in the March InStyle: “I’m Very Country at Heart”

Feb 10, 2014 @ 5:50 amShe may be an Aussie who was born in Hawaii (more on that in a bit), but Nicole Kidman tells Simon Dumenco in the March issue of InStyle, on newsstands Friday, that she’s really nothing more than a country bumpkin.
“I’m very country at heart,” says the Oscar winner. “I have a real desire to be outdoors, a desire for simplicity—a slightly slower, relaxed approach to life. A community, not a big-city feel. That’s what I grew up with, and it’s what I prefer.”

In fact, it’s a little known tidbit about Kidman that she was born on the beach in Hawaii—sort of. “I used to pretend to the kids at school that I was born right on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu,” she says with a laugh. “I was actually delivered in a hospital—but it sounded good, and they believed me.”
At our shoot in a two-story home in Nashville, the actress’ down-home sensibility (and sense of humor) was on full display, in spite of being dolled up in the likes of Dior, Chanel, and Valentino. Kidman chatted about everything from her daughters with husband Keith Urban, Sunday, 5, and Faith, 3, her workout routine, and even nibbled a piece of our style director Melissa Rubini’s organic dark chocolate from Whole Foods Market.
Up next for the 46-year-old star is the role of the beautiful and iconic princess and actress Grace Kelly in Grace of Monaco, premiering in Cannes in May. A daunting task for any actor, but if past is precedent, Kidman — often called “fearless” thanks to taking on roles like a murderous weatherwoman in To Die For and, in Fur, the photographer Diane Arbus, who committed suicide in 1971 — will shine. “I always try to push through fear,” she says. “People always say, ‘Oh, you take such risks,’ or ‘You’re brave.’ And I’m like, ‘Well, if you only knew—inside I’m really frightened!”
For more from Kidman—including details on Urban’s love letters, which daughter is most like her, and her given Hawaiian name—pick up the March issue of InStyle, available for digital download and on newsstands Friday, Feb. 14.

Nicole Kidman's Husband Keith Urban Writes her Love Notes When They're Apart

nicole-kidman-covers-instyle-march-2014.jpg

Nicole Kidman is Dior fabulous on the cover of InStyle magazine’s March 2014 issue, on newsstands Friday (February 14).
Here’s what the 46-year-old actress had to share with the mag:
On how she and Keith Urban survive their time apart: “For every single night he’s away, he leaves me a love letter. Every single night of our relationship.”
On taking on daunting roles: “I always try to push through fear. I won’t be crippled by it. People say, ‘Oh you take such risks,’ or ‘You’re brave.’ And I’m like ‘Well, if you only knew – inside I’m really frightened!’ But the way people navigate pain and fear is fascinating.”
On what drives her: “I suppose what drives me now is a strong inner life. Keith says I’m the one who thinks and feels and analyzes things. I don’t hide from what they call the ‘the shadow side.’ I feel very connected to life and to the world when I’m exploring the human psyche through a role.”

'The three most magical seconds of my life!' Nicole Kidman jokes about her infamous lapdance with Jimmy Kimmel

Nicole Kidman's last appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live was one to remember as she gave the late night host a racy but short-lived lapdance.
And while the 46-year-old's return to the show on Tuesday was a bit more tame, she certainly made a point of making a lasting impression.
When Kimmel teased the star by showing a clip that replayed her racy dance number on repeat she shouted 'it was so not that long' as Kimmel declared it 'the three most magical seconds' of his life.

Jesting: Nicole Kidman joked around on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday

Wearing a lacy sheer top teamed with a tight black blazer and matching skirt with black stockings, the ginger haired star made quite the stunning entrance onto the late night show.
But before the Australian beauty could get herself settled, Kimmel went right into teasing her about her racy appearance in January last year.
The moment the comedian put the clip of her straddling him on the big screen, Kidman exclaimed: 'Oh my god, get that off!'

The night in question: Kidman straddled Kimmel in January last year for a stunt episode

But Kimmel insisted on playing the moment over and over again on repeat as he admitted humorously: 'Those were the three most magical seconds of my life.'

He then asked the Far And Away star: 'Where'd you learn to do that?'

She replied coyly, 'They teach you different things [as an actress]', adding, 'That's one of the great things about acting... you get an education in so many different skills.'

Another famous face: Alyson Hannigan also made an appearance on the late night show

Kimmel hit back, with his characteristically sharp timing: 'It was more of a revelation than an education [for me].'

The late night host then asked the star how her husband Keith Urban took her giving him a lapdance on national television.

Kidman answered, 'He's pretty cool, I've done some pretty out there films. I mean he's a musician and he's been around the block,' but then realised that the statement could be taken the wrong way and quickly added, 'I mean let's just get off this. It's [going in the wrong direction].'

Nicole Kidman keeps an umbrella over her head to shield her eyes on the set of Strangerland on Monday (April 7) in Sydney, Australia.
The 46-year-old actress’ hubby Keith Urban attended the 2014 ACM Awards the evening before looking super sexy, where he discussed how great his wife is!
“I always give props to Nic,” Keith said to People. “Because we travel so much as a family, she does an amazing job keeping everybody together. She’s got the kids’ schedule dialed in, she’s dropping them off even in the middle of her work. I couldn’t do any of this without her.”
“Trying to block out time never seems to work,” Keith added. “So if she’s shooting a film – she was in Morocco, so we’re like, ‘Okay, we’re gonna go to Morocco for a holiday.’ We just kind of had one while she was working.”

The portrait of a lady! Nicole Kidman steps out in feminine ensemble for business meeting in Los Angeles

She recently admitted that she's been embracing her naturally curly hair.

But Nicole Kidman went for sleek locks and a chic outfit to attend a business meeting in LA on Thursday.

The Railway Man actress, 46, was spotted in Studio City as she made her way to a black SUV awaiting the star after her meeting.
The wife of country music star Keith Urban was wearing a ladylike black and white dress in a floral pattern, which she paired with pointy black flats.

The mother of Sunday Rose, six, and Faith Margaret, four, carried a small black handbag and some documents in her arms, a pair of sunglasses perched atop her head.

Despite keeping her famous red hair straight on this occasion, Nicole recently admitted she's learning to love her naturally curly locks after years of loathing them – for the sake of her youngest daughter.
