I admit to only knowing the basics of the case. I'm assuming that Nick and his now permanently injured friend were acting up together that fateful day. If thats the case, it could have just as easily been the other guy driving and Nick brain dead.. I guess my point is that it was an accident (a horrible accident). 8 months time in jail, then probabtion, and 3 yr license suspension... I just don't think its as black and white of a case as it seems, but Nick will pay the consequences for his mistake.

I think that it is a tough lesson for that family. They (especially that awful mother) prance around like they own Florida. They even let that kid have a car before he was 16, so they should all learn from this. I do feel bad for them but its a lesson for all young kids, cars are not toys.
