Well apparently DY is discontinuing their station bracelets, so I have to plan for a new jewelry purchase...

My DH and I are saving for an engagement ring upgrade! :)

I'm also keeping my eye out for a silver bracelet that might be nice for everyday wear. I have 6" wrists, though and haven't found anything that remotely fits.

I'm on a Patek Philippe quest this year. I have a list of several models I intend to hunt down.

Other than that, I never pre-plan a purchase. Ever. I wait to see what pops up at trade shows or what new vendors offer me. I also just wait until I come across a stone I *must* have and I make something specifically for it. Once in a blue moon I see something on a celebrity or in an ad and I just have to have it. I track it down, buying in on wholesale and getting an account if I have to.

Come to think of it, I think this year I'd like to make some ancient replicas. I'm kind of over the giant strone thing and I'm quickly getting over pave. I look at 13th - 17th century art and I am inspired by the jewelry- lots of baroque pearls, lots of roughs and cabochons everywhere. I think by the time summer rolls around I may be really into art-inspired 'replicas' with modern twists.

I saw a woman working in J.E. Caldwell that was wearing this. It's very pretty in real life-- I liked it a lot. My husband could tell she had an after-market diamond bezel, though. (And who could blame her with the ridiculous markup they charge for factory set diamonds.)
