When you go into Hermes, ask with confidence* as if you were asking for something else in a completely different shop, not like someone who is already completely intimidated by what they have read on social media.

I bought an Evelyne PM from Fashionphile in Prune awhile back and it was below retail. Looks like there is one available right now too so I would check from time to time if there is a particular color you are interested in but you can always go into a store and try your luck and ask. Just depends which store you go in to and if they have any supply. 
If you are in US, there is a black Evelyne 29 on the site now for $3650 - won't be there long.

They tend to release the bags around the same time Monday-Friday. Stalk the website frequently during the release times, and hit the Apple Pay button once you see the bag you like.
