I am new to the hermes world after falling in love with my Oran sandals this summer. I really would like a black Evelyne 29 with GHW but not sure how this all works!!! There isn't an Hermes store near me and nothing is offered online. Any advice?? I don't expect to be able to buy bag after bag, but I defintiely would like to start with the Evelyne and go from there. Advice???

I'm sure there's other threads that have talked about this, but you can either stalk the website or buy pre-loved (often they are new) on sites like Fashionphile, etc. Often you can find these specs are great prices under retail.
I think an Evelyne 29 is doable to get from the website if you make time to stalk the website

Evelynes are not "quota" bags, so you are able to get one from the boutique as a new customer. My boutique keeps a waitlist of people seeking certain colors/hardware. It may take quite a while to get one since inventory is very low, but it is possible (I think a plain black took like 3 months to get). Or stalk (literally stalk) the website. You have to be on it within minutes (if not seconds) of the bags loading, however, as they go very quickly. If you are diligent in stalking, you probably can get one pretty readily as they are loaded almost daily onto the site.
Edited to add that there are also a couple of Facebook Hermes buy/sell groups in which you can find Evelynes pretty readily from other people. Some are resellers selling brand new ones. The prices are typically way better than a site like Fashionphile.

Since you mention you aren't near a boutique my advice would be to stalk the website (29's aren't hugely in demand so you may get lucky) OR buy from a reputable company like Fashionphile or Anns Fabulous Finds where you can find pre-loved or new items.

It is much much cheaper over there, even without the VAT refund you get in some countries. Good luck... the Evelyne was my first H bag and I love her.
I'm jealous! Look up how to get VAT refunds before you go, if you're new to that process. It might sound intimidating but it's really easy and saves $$.

Depends where you are, some ppl were successful in getting SO K32 that way
