How’s it going guys? After years of procrastination, at age 35, I’ve finally mastered the courage to proceed with my plastic surgery journey in South Korea!

I’m here to share my experience I’ve had so far, and upcoming ones over the next couple of weeks, as I recover from my procedures. I’ve also picked up a couple of handy tips along the way that I’ll share, which I think might be useful for those who are considering the surgeries mentioned in this thread.

I had just began my second week of recovery, with deswelling seemingly on track. My journey had been a rather smooth and comfortable one with zero complications so far! Finger crossed this stays

So, how did I end up settling for Braun? Well, their YouTube Channel really sold me!

Apart from the accumulative research over the years, I grew more confident of the doctors at Braun in the last year as they were actively documenting their patients’ journey and posting some really informative Q&A sessions with their doctors. I personally found them relatable and comforting in comparison to the others out there.

My biggest concern was that my high cheekbones wouldn’t age well with me. Facial Contouring was therefore on my mind, however I was insistent on keeping most of my jaw as I do like them but I am open to minimal trimming if it was necessary. Rhinoplasty was also something that I was urgent about since my nose bridge had been practically made up of fillers over the years, and I thought it was about due time that I’d have them removed for good in place of a more permanent structure. As for Blepharoplasty, I wasn’t sure if it was a possible procedure this trip as the droopyness on one of my eyelid is mostly caused by this cyst-like lump. It is more apparent when I don’t have the support of my mascara, but I wasn’t sure if removing the lump was in Dr Lee Wu Seop’s expertise. So, that was a discussion to be had in person. Anyhow, the following videos from Braun gave me a lot of clarity to the nip and tuck world:

Securing my consultation at Braun was all done via WhatsApp texts.

Step 1) I contacted the number on their site, and was greeted by Jennifer. Step 2) I listed down my concerns, and Jennifer guided me through a couple of personal details the clinic needed before coming back to me with a list of suggested procedures for consideration Step 3) I then decided on a two-week time frame that both the clinic and myself can commit to. — By this time I was certain of my procedures, but had decided to extend my trip a little longer than 14 days, with an extra 48hrs set aside for settling down in my hotel and for decision making

Tip: I’d suggest catering 1-2 days for decision making before the day of your surgery if you need more time to decide!

Here’s what I had intended on getting (and was initially suggested to me):

01. Facial contouring by Dr Kim Tae Gyu
  • Cheekbone reduction
  • Jaw angle reduction
  • Genioplasty with filler removal
02 Rhinoplasty by Dr Lee Ji Won
  • Filler removal
  • Bridge Augmentation with silicon implant
  • Alar base reduction
  • Tip plastic with donor rib cartilage
03 Blepharoplasty (Eyelids) by Dr Lee Wu Seop
  • Incisional method with ptosis correction
  • Inner Canthoplasty
  • Lateral Canthoplasty

Here are the photos I had summited for my initial WhatsApp Consultation:
(my eyes are covered as I didn’t end up doing my eyelids for I had a lumpy cyst which Dr Lee Wu Seop suggested that I get a specialist to remove before going back to him - I’m thankful for his suggestion)
