YSL isn’t on the same level as LV. LV New Wave is Far superior to both and I love the chain and burnished gold hardware
New Wave Chain Bag: Anyone have it? Opinions on others?

The New Wave Louis Vuitton bag i think its much better for both everyday and night out bag cause the size its perfect and the soft and a bit slouchy fit of the leather would look good if you hold it on your hand like a clutch bag with the chains hanging. But still its all about your personal style...
I had it the style with removable top handle, I like the top handle, handy to pick it up, and quite interesting decoration when leave it on top. The bag was quite well made.
I recently bought the new wave bag and i noticed that the leather starts to have some white discoloration at the front and i dont understand why since i only used the bag once 
Not sure what you mean by "same level" but I own a few of both and find the quality is just as good with YSL. I recently bought the small black Loulou with silver hardware and it is stunning and the leather is tdf. And so versatile.
To the OP my friend has the LV New Wave bag in black and gold and it is also beautiful. It is a great size too, not too big, not too small. But I also love YSL bags, same great quality and better prices (for now). Tough decision but both are beautiful.
I can’t really speak for the LV bag, but that Gucci bag is stunning!
In my experience, if you are wanting a Chanel classic flap, I would just go for what you really want. I have made the mistake “settling” for an alternative to the classic flap, but was never satisfied and wound up getting the classic flap.
But of the three you have here, I vote the Gucci. It looks really versatile, the chain gold strap dresses it up, and the guitar strap gives a more casual vibe. And the bag is not heavy logo. And it looks like the leather is a smooth leather that gives the bag such an elegant aesthetic.

I have the LV one in the pink and love it. It's very versatile and a little more edgy than either the YSL or Gucci, although you can dress it up as well. I would recommend going to the store if you can or ordering a couple and sending one back. When I looked in the store, the leather was inconsistent and some leathers were softer and others were stiffer so in an ideal world it would be nice to pick out the one you liked better (I went with the soft one).
My SA sent example pics of beige colorway and I was concerned whether it was subject to cracks given it could br squishy cannot tell by pics). I will check it out in the next 2 weeks.

I have a black LV New Wave wallet and absolutely love it. I thought the leather would be hard to take care of but so far no scratches at all. And I've had it for several years now. I also have the YSL Envelope in medium as in your picture. This bag is so beautiful and the perfect size IMO. I feel it is a bit more dressed up than the New Wave, but that doesnt mean you can't use it out wearing jeans and a tshirt.
I just got the green new wave from LV from my SA in the mail. It’s GORGEOUS. (Sorry to clarify I bought through her but paid online and had it shipped.) One thing that won me over is that they cinched together the center so it doesn’t stick out when the bag is closed. (Think Gucci Marmont where the sides come out.) It’s casual and chick and the perfect emerald green.

I'm an LV girl at heart. LV dominates my collection, but I'm not in love with the wave bag. I've looked at it many times in store and it just wasn't for me. I have the YSL envelope and puffer bags. They have the best leather. The puffer is lambskin and so lux. It's my fave leather crossbody and shoulder bag. If you want to know how YSL leather holds up to Chanel leather, I posted a link below.
