New tote help!!

No worries! I understand...buying sight unseen is a big commitment. The canvas and lining are very thin, giving the tote zero structure...almost paper thin. I don't own any LV canvas, but have friends who do and that canvas seems sturdy. The handle drop was a bit too short for me (and I am a smaller built girl...5'3", 112 lbs) and the handles are very thin. I also didn't care for the lining...it is a light cream/off white color and seemed like it would show every mark and be hard to clean. Seems like it would make a good beach bag if the price were much lower. Such a shame too because I was convinced I was going to buy it and actually had to go to the shop twice after they were closed for a holiday the first time I went. I checked out a couple of other styles, but still didn't care for the quality of the canvas vs. the price point, so I left empty handed. Good luck deciding.

Thanks for all the info. Do you have any other recommendations for a black tote? First time that hubby said don't buy that to a bag lol. He said it looks shiny and plasticky [emoji53]. I really like it but after watching quite a few videos on you tube and reading a lot on TPF I'm actually very unsure of what to do...

If you love the Goyard you should order it. I don't think you will be satisfied until you see it for yourself. You can return it if you don't end up wanting it. I know I wouldn't be satisfied until I got exactly what I wanted.

I wanted to say if you receive the St Louis and feel it is too thin, the new Anjou reversible tote looks to be thicker and versatile too since one side is printed canvas and the other is plain leather.
