Hello all! I’ve been lurking on the board for quite a long time. I’m a huge fan of high-end jewelry. I blame the Rachel Zoe Project for turning me on to high end bracelets and cuffs. :smile1: For the past year I’ve been obsessed over this gold spike bracelet that has a diamond encrusted spike. It’s very expensive but I just can’t stop thinking about it. I know that C.C. Skye has some similar looks, as does NOIR. I was wondering if anyone may have thoughts on this? Anita Ko makes a 14kt one for $3,700. I can't seem to talk myself out of it. I'm saving $$ for it but have a long way to go!!! LOL

Well I do think it's beautiful, but I can tell those spikes are hollow. I could see the price if they were thicker or solid, but it just looks too thin and delicate for that price. Do you have links to the other ones you like?

Here is an example from the NOIR jewelry site:

You're right. Anita's pyramids are hollow. I did try one on at Jeffrey's in New York. It's got some weight to it, but I'm trying to justify the really high price tag as even a Cartier Love bracelet weighs more. Here is an example of the bracelet on Victoria Beckham.

I just love the look. My apologies everyone, I hate when I get something stuck in my head. I appreciate you helping me to look at the "negatives".

I actually like the Noir one better -- it looks substantial and very pretty even though it's costume. Noir makes excellent, high quality pieces so it wouldn't be a foolish purchase.
Also, it's very easy for those stars to wear these trendy, edgy thousand dollar pieces because they probably get them all for free. I guarantee that if you got this bracelet over a Love bracelet (or maybe another classic like a tennis bracelet), you would eventually regret it.

I think the costume jewellery pieces look trendy because of the size of the pieces, but the one victoria beckham is wearing is very nice. and why cant a spike bracelet be one of your everyday pieces? if it suits you and your style buy it because you love it not because it may go out of style eventually..eventually everything will go out of style at some point or another lol

I agree! If it fits your style, buy it and enjoy it!

Not sure if it's easy to tell from my posts, but the links are all flexible, it's not a solid stiff piece. Not sure if that makes a difference in appeal, but it does givie it a nice fluid motion that I haven't been able to find in the fashion jewelry "spiked bracelet" arena.

I would problably splurge on the 14kt gold one with pave diamond spike at $3,700 (which is still alot of course). I think if the pyramids were solid, it would be VERY heavy. The hollow one is still a little heavier than the Cartier Love bracelet if that helps with giving you an idea?
