New policy on cleaning White bags

My understanding is that they have a special apparatus to like, spray paint, the bags. This machine is only in Paris.

My guess is that if this procedure is repeated the results become less satisfactory over time, because there would be build up of paint or color, and that would be very hard to control. Probably Hermes are not happy with the results of repeat sprayings.

So they decided that they will only do it one time.

Just my guess.

Aha! That makes perfect sense, Baba!
I think we are too afraid that service at H could decline anytime soon like we have seen in other brands. Phew! :okay:

I was thinking of doing that for her, I can't use my store as they know I don't own a White bag LOL. She did ring another store today and was told the same thing, repairs no problem but a White bag will be only cleaned once. Ironically the SA she spoke to said they had just had some training on the new cleaning policy a few weeks ago!

Can she ask a friend to take it in for her and pass it off as her own?

I don't think it would make sense because it's an issue with recoloring thus it can be traced !

But I have news , my sister a collector of all cream and extreme light colors like parchemin, rose dragge, pousierre, white, white and white! Cleans the wax and resin parts with the tip of mr clean magic eraser not the leather just the resin since this part catches most of the make up and guerlain terra-cotta shimmer she uses so hope this helps!!!

Oh no... I am devastated! meaning I will never get my white b to it's pristine condition after it's been cleaned once. This is really bad news....:crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::crybaby::cry::crybaby:

Granted this is the H forum but years ago when I had a white Chanel purse and asked about spa I was told C doesn't redye white purses. This was before DIY cleaners, conditions were available. I know I'd get crucified by many but if I owned a H white bag, I would clean it with a product like Blackrocks and then Obernaufs to waterproof it. From there I'd use baby butt wipes. Am so grateful for LVMB products for the Chanels. I have white purses and use them with no fear whatsoever.

At this point if your purse has been resprayed, my thought is there is nothing to lose by DIY tactics. However, before proceeding I would ask Doc tho about any possibility of the products causing yellowing.
