Bella - i would seriously recommend you get it whether its on sale or not ... it has completely changed my skin - my skin glows, doesnt break out and is super smooth (and im pregnant and it was bad!)

How long can you use one brush head before you have to change it?

I really want to get one, but it's not available here in Germany so I'll have to import it from the US. If I need a new head every 3 weeks I just don't know whether it's worth it since shipping is killer.

I bought mine on ebay from the US too - i got it ages ago ... like about 3 months ago and i havent had to change the head (or batteries) either ... i dont wear foundation though - just some powder on my nose and forehead ... not sure if that makes a difference?

The one i bought came with a spare head and an exfoliant product which i really like ...

I have been using the Olay pro X brush for about a week, and I am very impressed with it. It is gentle, has two speeds, is water resistant, and very easy to clean.

I am having a hard time deciding whether I really need the Clarisonic. I haven't been able to find any information on why the vibrating sonic technology of the Clarisonic is better for your skin or provides different results than the rotating Olay brush. A couple of reviews mentioned something about rotating brushes causing "microtears". I guess that means that the rotating brush is rougher on the skin - but the Olay brush is pretty soft and if you don't apply pressure and just let it glide along your face it is quite gentle.

It seems that the only difference between the two brushes is not in the results that they produce, but their size, how they are powered, how they move etc. One internet reviewer compared the two and found that the Clarisonic gave her skin a better texture, but I don't know why it would make any difference...does anyone have any information on why sonic technology of the Clarisonic would better for your skin?

I'd be interested in knowing the answer to your question as well. Costco has a coupon starting January 5th for the Olay brush and Olay cleansers and I'm debating on trying it or just getting a Mia.

ive been using this for a couple days now and im so pleased! i also have been wanting a clarisonic for a while now but cant bring myself to spend $200 when my skin isnt fussy or high maintenance.

the way i see it is that proX buffs the surface of the skin, which imo is good enough for me. my skin looks smoother, i dont have to apply as much liquid foundation or moisturizer and the blackheads on my nose seem to diminish! the only thing i dislike about it is that it's battery operated and i believe is only water resistant. as in, i'd be afraid to submerge it in water or even use it in the shower. battery costs can add up and taking them in/out of the casing can get really annoying. what if you're in the middle of cleansing and it just dies

overall $40 (shoppers drug mart, toronto) well spent!
