Ok - MK boutique received lots of large Hamilton Travelers: gooseberry, dark chocolate, navy, burgundy, grey - along with original black, luggage, optic white, apple green and orange and the camo hair calf versions.

Sadly, I am underwhelmed by dark chocolate :( don't know why - it just isn't fabulous to me. It's a super dark brown. They all come with shiny gold hw except for the grey and I believe, the burgundy? Not sure if that sounds right but there are at least 2 shades that come with silver hw and one is the grey for certain.

My 2 faves are gooseberry & grey. The only issue I have with the grey is that I have a grey RM mam with silver hw and I swear, the leather and the shade of grey is REALLY similar, sigh.

Gooseberry is really nice - but I just got the racing green Paraty in May/June on sale - feel bad about getting yet another green bag. I wish that I liked the Apple Green more - if it was just a bit more green like Hermes Vert Anis or Kiwi...either just more green or more yellow. My little boy saw this bag and said it looked like dog pee in the snow! Now I can't get the image out of my head :(

The brown version, can you tell it's brown since you describe it as being really dark. Haven't seen the navy, grey, burgundy or chocolate where I live. Might consider the burgundy depending on how much red there is. If you end up visiting again, would you mind taking pics?

I haven't seen any of these bags or colors in person, but when MK does a dark brown (e.g., coffee brown) it's usually a very deep, dark brown. I suspect dark chocolate is a very dark brown.

I'm a lover of dark brown, typically or sometimes called T-moro. It's hard to put my finger on why this one didn't blow me away - it's ok and others will love it - always such a personal thing. To tell you the truth, it might have more to do with the bag on display. These are well-made as all MK bags are, but it was a little warped.

I think the Hamilton Traveler will hold its shape quite well over time despite the vitello leather being softer than saffiano leather. It's thick and the bag is only a med size so it really isn't going to "hang" kwim?

I plan on going back with my RM mab in winter grey in tow to do a sbs with the grey Hamilton Traveler. I did this with my limoncello Kate Spade bag to compare with apple green :) Yea, I'll post pics but not sure when I'm going back.

I wish I had been around for the dark brown (coffee brown or mahogany) Hamilton NS tote (full size, regular leather). It wasn't around for very long and I wonder how popular it was? He would've brought it back time and again had it been popular, right?

I don't think his dark browns do very well. I noticed that the coffee Selma was discounted quite heavily after it came out. Like you, I love dark browns, but they have to be the exact right shade of dark brown to work. The material also is an important factor in how the brown will look in person.

Yup, I agree totally. Everything about dark espresso brown has to be just right: sheen, type of leather, how the bag hangs and so on...even whether or not the design of the bag suits being dark brown :smile1:

I don't know the official colour of the burgundy (silver hw) - oxblood has been a popular name lately. Here are my own pics. I'm sorry about the quality - straight from my BB.

I will post the grey later. The dark chocolate looks almost black but it's not.

Here is the pearl grey sbs with my RM winter grey. The MK pearl grey has a warm undertone I'm told...a dusky pink undertone.

I did not take any photos of the Gooseberry - but I already know that I love it.
