Why is crossgrain leather so popular? Is it the same as saffiano or cross-hatched? It seems like every designer is making more and more purses of this type. I read somewhere that it's less expensive for designers but consumers must like it enough for designers to keep using it. I recently bought one because I love the color so much -- thought I would try it out. I didn't think I would like pebbled leather either but now I do.
I like my saffiano MK better than the crossgrain personally
How do they differ? I have a few Saffiano bags, but not crossgrain. I haven't felt or seen crossgrain irl.+1. I agree. I like my Saffiano bags much better than the Crossgrain.
One of the reasons I hate crossgrain is because I feel cheated when they are using it to save money but charge just as much for it. A SA at the outlet told me people like it because it is easy care. I can't even tell it is leather. Why is crossgrain leather so popular? Is it the same as saffiano or cross-hatched? It seems like every designer is making more and more purses of this type. I think Saffiano holds it shape more. Crossgrain seems thinner and floppier. How do they differ? I have a few Saffiano bags, but not crossgrain. I haven't felt or seen crossgrain irl.
They are all real leather, just processed.Isn't saffiano "real" leather? I'm confused too on the difference between that and 'crossgrain'.
I also dislike LV's epi leather.......guess I just like regular smooth leather.
Thanks, but processed how? Do you mean they have some sort of coating on them to make them stiffer? They are all real leather, just processed.
