New Cognac Empreinte Collection coming August 2024

I received my preorder mini bumbag today. I love the cognac color! The “LV” on the front pocket is slightly off center, not a huge deal, but to the next point - this style looks so cute on everyone, and I love the size and look, but I just don’t love it on me. Maybe I’m just not used to the wear height and style. I included some mod pics with clothes I would normally wear when I’m not in sweats, although this bag does look super cute with athleisure clothes!

DH reminded me if I have doubts, and I have to convince myself I like it, then it’s not worth keeping. Going to take it to the store later and check out the cognac Liv.

I've adopted a simple yet effective rule of thumb that has been serving me well (as someone who has kept things in the past that i should have returned but did not) - If my immediate response to an item I purchase is 'I don't know if i like this for me/on me' that means no and I send it back .

I use extenders on my mini bumbags to give me an additional 2-4” which works perfect for me. I’m a huge fan of the mini bumbag though.
But if you are questioning it definitely take it back and try the liv. My cognac liv arrives on Tuesday so I can’t speak on it’s features or fit yet. But I have purchased the liv before in the sky denim and returned it due to structure issues with the fabric. The liv will have very similar strap length to the bumbag but is slimmer profile. You may feel more comfortable with it.

You look great with the bag, but I think the bum bag is more of a casual vibe thats why it looks better with casual clothes or athleisure wear. I wouldn't wear it with dresses. But trust your gut. I've made mistakes keeping a bag that I had doubts about and I ended up selling them in the long run. Should have listen to my inner voice.

So glad to hear the Liv works better for you!! I love my bumbags, but I do use extenders on the straps unless I’m traveling with them, then I like them high and close 😊

Preordered this on my birthday (08/01) and received it a few days before the official release. It’s a celebration of a milestone I have coming up in September so I can’t use it for a few more weeks. The color is really versatile in that it’ll work with casual and more dressy situations. Can’t wait to debut it.

Can you explain how to use the chain to extend the leather strap? This is what holds me back from buying a mini bumbag in anything but the monogram; I have a vachetta strap I could swap out with the monogram but love the cognac color and want it to sit a bit lower (I'm 5'5").

Sure. Hook the chain to one side of the bag. Hook the leather strap to the other side. Then connect the leather and chain strap together. So the chain that comes with it can also be used as an extender. You can adjust the length a little with the leather strap. It does make it too long for me this way, even on the shortest setting, but for what it's worth I am ~110 lbs, flat chested (sad face but at my big age I'm over it now lol), and 5' 3". The other downside is if you don't like the aesthetic of the chain connected to the strap.

You're welcome. I am not a fan of the additional chain strap either, but have seen some videos where people don't mind it so figured I'd share :0). I use these little extenders on my straps that are a little too short. I bought them used off fashionfile awhile back and they are perfect for giving an extra 4-6”. It works perfectly for me I’m 5’4
I used a set of generic ones for a different purse off Amazon and they work great too.

After I returned the mini bumbag, the liv pochette arrived today and it’s instant love! So soft, beautiful color, and love the pocket in the middle. 😍

I’m so glad you love it!! I love the small Empriente print on it and wish the carryall had the smaller print.

I just had my daughter bring hers out and I carried the carryall today and they both have the darker glaze edge like yours. Weird I didn’t even notice the difference from the website 😂
The sky denim bumbag was different than the website pic too… they changed the picture awhile after it was released. Hmmm.
