It’s the 1st time I’ve seen this collection, but I’m not a fan.

It reminds me of their Menotte collection or their Amulette collection or a mixture of both using colored stones, which are both very dated to me.

I hate to say it, but the rings are pretty hideous in my opinion!! (LOL)

I feel confused about price ring in cartier in love, trinity and clash start from 810£ but in this collection start from 2,338 £
This is cheapest ring without diamond in pink stone... So disappointed this is not fair.

It’s because those rings you listed above only contain gold; whereas the rings in this line also carries semi-precious stones and requires more craftsmanship I would assume.

My first impression: Ugly to the extreme

... but that design might have some appeal in Asia
We have to give us some time. Maybe it gross un us.

At least now for me it looks Walmart like. Seems they run out of ideas at Home Depot

I'm not sure why you have to follow your comment about the "ugliness" of the design with its potential "appeal in Asia." Your implication seems to be that Asians have poor taste and are into unattractive Walmart/Home Depot-like designs, which is offensive to the many TPF users of Asian descent. If this is not in fact what you meant, please clarify.

Not sure why you feel the need to combine these posts? As you are here for almost 2 years you might have seen my two posts referring to and joking about the Cartier pieces being inspired by HomeDepot (nails, screws and so on). I cannot think of such a design like these berlingots to be found there. Not really meant seriously, therefore check my  behind this post.

Second, I do not (yet?) like this collection (do I have to?) and it is more than okay to disagree. As a large stockholder I want Cartier to sell its items. As not being Asian I am certainly not able to judge about their preferences; just my feeling it is designed to appeal to them ... like many high-end watches around these days even within Richemont. There for sure are a lot of items which Asian customers do not like and we do. However, I have to say I admire some Japanese designs and Japan in general.

Hope this clarifies your concerns.

Being of Asian descent myself, I was not at all offended by this post. First off, I get @scheurin ('s) humor and have followed her previous posts regarding Home Depot/Walmart. Therefore, I don't disagree that this line may appeal to some Asian countries or other countries in the world as they appear to favor colored stones (i.e. Jade, etc).

Additionally, it would not be uncommon for Cartier to market certain lines exclusively/to appeal to certain demographics. Many companies do it all the time. For example, if you have ever eaten McDonald's or other American chain places in other parts of the world besides America, you will see that those typically "American" companies will make the food in a more country appropriate fare to appeal to that clientele. (i.e. McDonald's in Japan makes their hamburgers with a distinct Asian fare to appeal to the Japanese).

Additionally, it seems that when a certain line doesn't sell well in one country, they restock it to other countries that do well with the line. This has happened it seems with a certain item I was looking at on Cartier that now only appears to be sold abroad.
