Personally, I think the pebbled leather is easier to clean, and doesn’t show marks as easily as Flo does. Now we gotta remember, there is a huge difference between vintage AWL and the newer ones. If you do buy one, you’ll immediately notice difference in quality.

If you are looking to purchase a vintage AWL, definitely post here to authenticate it.

But a few tips, most bags will have the made in US tag inside it. Late 90s they (like Coach) started production overseas. I have 1 vintage AWL that was made in Costa Rica. You’ll notice a difference in the tags. The overseas bags, will have where they were made behind the DB tag. But made in US bags will always say that on the front of the tag.

Some bags will have the tag cut out, you should be able to still see remnants of the threading. Typically those bags were sent to the outlets to be sold, and will have IRREGULAR stamped inside. My white equestrian has that. There’s nothing wrong with the bag either.

Some bags have plastic zippers. This tripped me up quite a few times, because I thought D&B always used metal zippers. Specifically the zip top bags have these. They are legit LOL.
Doh! I forgot to mention that there are vintage AWLs that are pre-tag, and there are some that have the OG green tag inside. And there are 2 different brass fobs, obviously the one with the duck, but the OG fob with DB on it.

Since we were talking about the zebra styles newly released, I was
able to dig out one of my older Dooney handbags.

This is a Florentine Leather Zebra in natural with chestnut color stripes.
The bag is a large shopper style that can be 'buttoned up' across the top to
form the shape in the picture. I purchased it in 2010.
It was a sample that I found at a Dooney boutique store.
It's all Florentine leather and very heavy.
The handles are a little wonky from storage (my fault).

Sweety Leather Pinky Bag

This bag is really cute.
It is cute isn't it! The Tangerine & Hot Pink have my attention. I don't own anything in Tangerine & it would really clash with the majority of clothes I wear - but darn it's pretty. Looks like it would glow!

Scrolling through the new arrivals on Dooney.

I know this style (STANWICH) isn't new perse, but could it be new in Pebble Grain?

There's various sizes in this line. Not a fan of the strap. Turnlock is giving me vintage Coach vibes.

This one is giving me vintage zip top vibes.

This one kinda gives off a smaller mail bag look.

This is really unique and very pretty. Amazing how they tanned the leather In 2 different colors. I’ve not seen anything like this. I love the style of this large shopper. Is it just open like a tote or does it have some type of magnetic or snap closure? Awesome sample

Anyone know about the Belmar collection? Reviews on the bags are mixed.

I bought the drawstring in black. It's a smooth finely grained leather with
a matte finish. The D/S in unlined, but some of the other bags in the collection
appear to be lined. The leather is structured. I don't know if it will soften with
use. I also suspect it will show scratches easily.

I bought it because I wanted a nicer black D/S handbag. The Coach one I
had bought (Dempsey) is small and is not up to my quality standards. I should
have sprung for the Florentine D/S or Flo Hattie. But they were very expensive
and not on sale and I got tired of waiting for a good price. So I decided to try
the Belmar. I'd been looking at the Belmar Janine satchels for a long time,
and they really appealed to me. But the limited colors overlapped with the
too many of my other and similar handbags.
