I am thinking of getting the Neonoe monogram in Caramel but I am nervous about the glazing on the top of the bag. I think that there is no vachetta leather but will the lack of leather on the top of the bag mean that it will fray or wear away and chip sooner?

I like the style and think it will suit my lifestyle well, I am just concerned about wear and tear. I don't want to get the full leather ones as this will increase the weight.

Anyone have any issues or problems with their Neonoe.

I don’t own the neonoe in mono but I have one in epi and I have to say it is super light. No issues with weight at all with the epi version if that’s your style. I prefer for the price to get leather over canvas, I’m always worried canvas will crack.

I have a black NeoNoe from when it first came out, March 2017.

It is such a great and surprisingly spacious and light bag. I have used it on and off alot.

For now it has minimal creasing and tiny fissures in the upper glazing, but it is barely noticable and does not bother me. I also think for a bag in use, it is fine and still looks perfect (at least in my opinion).

I attached a pic for you. This is in macro, so when you look at it not with eagle‘s eye, you don’t see much of the creasing and fissures.
I also think, it the glazing ever peels off, I would just let LV repair it - they can reglaze it.

Hi, I have my neonoe noir and bought it around when it first launched around April 2017. Even the straps I had is diff version from current as it has no stitching. I do not have issue with the top glazing but had not been using it for a year plus due to lockdown since last year, it has been stored away with humidifier unit in place. Last week, I was cleaning my bags and to air them, I realised the bottom tends to have wavy lines. Not sure the reason as I already contacted my SA to check and sent him photos and still pending for them to get back to me from their assessment. :( Till today still no news...

So far I do not have much issue with the top glazing with this bag as you can see from the pic. Think thecobly concern might be the base that is bothering me now as I do not carry heavy stuff using this bag and I also store it properly.

Agreed. If your one and only concern for getting a full leather NeoNoe is its’ weight, one would say that the weight difference between Empreinte NeoNoe & Mono NeoNoe is minor (I have an Empreinte NeoNoe and it is extremely light weight). It mainly comes from an extra top handle that you would get with both Empreinte and Epi NeoNoe. If your general preference is canvas over leather, then Caramel Mono NeoNoe is a beautiful choice .

Hi there,

My SA finally get back to me but I am disappointed to hear from the assessment that they cannot do anything as the item was due to soft material (canvas), hence the shape was deformed after usage. Problem is I do not put in heavy stuff when I carry this bag. If you looked inside your neonoe, there is a layer being glued to slightly to the base, as some parts seem to'losen' the grip from the base and that is where the wavy form on outside. I am not sure if they can look into it and reinforced. A bit hard to explain since I am not expert here. Will bring it over to store for them to assess directly during this weekend as I really used it with care, not the type to abuse my bag with heavy stuff. I have a vintage peitie noe in epi leather, that was very durable and leather till now is so stiff and maintaince the shape though I used it more and withstand the weight of my stuff that I put in.

I am sorry to hear that :hrmm: . Hopefully, once you bring it to the store they will get a better understanding as to what happened to your bag. I understand what you are referring to - it’s the portion where he bottom and the side panels are stitched and sometimes , if it doesn’t sit “straight up”, it may push and create the wave effect since the bottom of NeoNoe is not really reenforced (unlike the classic line). Good luck this weekend!

Hi,
Would you mind sharing how is the wear and tear on your Epi NeoNoe? I am considering to add an Epi piece to my collection and as of late a Noir NeoNoe in Epi leather has gotten my attention. In the past I have dismissed it as I thought it too rigid and simple, but as one gets older one starts appreciating different things in life. Now I look at it and all I see is a clean-lined classic beauty. Would appreciate any feedback re it’s wear.

Will update here after my visit to the store this Sunday. Their quality seem to decline, as I keep having few issue with their bags since earlier this year yet I keep on buying their new stuff.

It has worn really well. I have had it about 18 months and there is no wear and tear on it whatsoever. Same for my epi 6 key holder. I find epi does soften a little with use, but holds its shape, it never becomes really squishy. I love epi because it is beautiful, hard wearing, and only a little more expensive than canvas. For luxury prices I would much rather buy leather than canvas, I can’t understand the popularity of paying so much for a bag that’s not even leather.

Thank you so much for your response!
It’s good to know that Epi NeoNoe wears well and that it softens a bit with use without loosing its structure .

@DAMER, just to share here that I brought my bag to assess and really nothing can help and so I have to live with it. Am told by SA that the canvas is soft type and tends to curve at some point. I am not sure how other's neonoe in canvas is faring so far. Just disappointed, maybe I will get a bag shaper to make it look better.
